It seems like we don't really have an identity as an offense," Williams said Wednesday. "In the past, when Norv was here, we had a couple of plays that we ran, and we ran them extremely well. We did some variations off of them, but we had an identity.
"We don't have any 'bread and butter' plays right now."

I'm not even the starting running back now," Williams said. "After everything that has happened, I'm in no position to talk about it. I just know from being around football for a while to be a successful offense you have to have an identity.
"We better figure out what we're good at and start doing it, or we'll continue to struggle as an offense."

It's a learning process and, being where [Linehan] was before, they had been together for a while and had incredible players," Williams said. "I'm sure that's what he's used to. The more we can all come together and be on the same page, it gets that much easier.
"Linehan needs to realize that we're a new offense and that we don't have Daunte Culpepper and Randy Moss; right now he's not calling the plays that I believe the players think will work well."

Why does he need a translator? I understood everything he said.

You did, and you're probably a pretty discerning fan. What he said was pretty indirect, however. You have to admit that if he would've said the things I said, there would've been raised eyebrows all over the place, Saban's included.

Thats because he didnt say what you said, which was no where near what he actually said! :rofl3:

So he chose his words well. Good.

Right, and that's fine, but if you read between the lines like I did, you get a pretty good read on what's wrong with this team via Ricky.

I think Ricky is one of the more insightful players who probably has his finger on the pulse of the team pretty well.

I'll give this translation a shot.
