Momentum is a huge part. I agree. It can result in a new look at things. The difference between the glass half empty and half full. It's been shown over and over how important psychology is in sports. That's why Saban will be such a great coach. He really gets the psych part of it.

This does sound very Ricky Williams like. Is the nirvana apreading?

Momentum is situational. It can be inspired or extingusihed by a single big play, or two lossess back to back or two wins.

The key is leadership. The ability of key players to respond to diversity and make the plays and take over games to keep negativity from building. This team has not had that since Marino retired.

BS. so youre saying is that momentum is not an unseen constant.
leadership is essential but doesnt necessarily win rings. momentum is a constant like a novel waiting to be written for those who are listening for it, word by word, month by month except your rear end doesnt get tired.

Momentum has no loyality she'll change jerseys so fast your head will spin.Normally the team that has "it" the longest will win.

this is way too deep for us old folks

I think I'll shoot him, skin him and roll him in salt.

:shotgun:

Momentum is definitely needed to win a good portion of your games. But, I believe it all depends on where a team is at to what priority you put on it. If they are comfortable and confident in their abilities and the system, momentum can be a powerful weapon for them.

If they are still learning and thinking too much regarding their assignments and schemes, momentum might not be as potent of an ally.
