I'm a huge Dolphin HOMER and i'm feeling pretty confident in the team going into this season. With that said, IF the Phins don't win more than 5-6 games lets ALL try to remember we are in the beggining phases of rebuilding and not call for Sabans head when the season is over.

Up to this point it seems MOST fans agree that Saban has done an excellent job with what he inherited. We are all hoping that all the pieces fall into place so we can make a playoff run this year, but remember we still have a quite a few area's of concern with QB being the biggest question mark.

I LOVE this team and i'm VERY VERY HAPPY with our new direction. I just hope everyone can stay calm and steadfast if we are not as good as some hope this season.

I am a homer, I think we will win all of them till we lose. Seriously though, I honestly think we can win 10 eventhough 8 is more likely. I do think some people are going overboard saying we will make a playoff/superbowl run.

I feel as though Miami will win 8 of their games this season as well. Don't get me wrong, i would LOVE for Miami to be in playoffs by week 14, but we are in the toughest division in the NFL, and we have too many problems that can't be fixed in one offseason. With all that said, I wish the Dolphins the best, and good luck to them for the 2005-06 season.

Guilty here also....... I ALWAYS say that we're going to win, no matter what, and I honestly think we're going to make the playoffs, and have a succesful season, I refuse to have hope for anything less damn it, I haven't since I watched my first Dolphins game, and I'm not gonna start disbelieving now, and if we lose 12 games or more I will simply just tell all my friends........."We're gonna win next year!!!"

Hey good post. If we 8 - 8 this will be a good year.

I also think we are going to be a good team this year, but alot of my hope is based on everything "falling into place" - New coaches, New schemes, O-line, QB's , secondary, no injuries. If some of these area's are not on track by game one we will struggle this season.

I know the media will be all over Saban if we stink this year, i just hope the fans are more understanding because i think this is the guy that will eventually get the job done.

I have proof of my homerism. On the blitz report (www.theblitzreport.com for those who dont know what it is) I picked the fins to win every week, and when me and matt (TerryTate) start the show back up for next season I will do the same.

I live about 15 minutes from UCF.:)

I am just happy I won't have to see Wanny scratching his pornstache with that confused look of his on the sidelines anymore....I feel sorry for the Pitt Panther fans.

I already bet $50 for dolphins to win superbowl, to win $5000, the odds were 100-1, now they are 80-1. I've told everyone i know that the dolphins will surprise, and they always say to me "We will see". Im hoping for dolphins 05-06 superbowl, and i BELIEVE!

One word to describe the Miami Dolphins imo is potential. WIll offensive line guru Hudson Houck improve miamis o-line? Will Gus Frerotte/AJ feeley be a decent starting QB. Will David Boston return to his old self? Will Ricky Williams return to his old self? How will Reggie Howard do playing as the #2 CB instead of the NB? And most importantly, Will Nick Saban succeed in the NFL.

All of these are question marks, but i do think we have a legit shot at making the playoffs. Alot of people overlook Saban,Houck, and Linehan. We are not the same team as last year.We have added better coaches. We have Ronnie Brown/Ricky Williams at HB. David Boston is back, and he can be a top five WR if he lives up to his potential which i think he will. We have added McDougle,Kevin Carter and others. The only major loss was Patrick Surtain. I think we will be improved, and we will make the playoffs.

I'm a homer too. No matter how bad the team I always thought we can win. I guess all those years of Shula/Marino spoiled me.

Perfect Season number 2 :D

You know it makes sense

OK it is 2pm here and ive been drinking at lunchtime again but im feelign positive as hell bout this season

Well, with a few exceptions (Justa, Losman7, etc) most of us are homers too, but I've said all along, that as interesting as the team is shaping up to look, we still have to temper our enthusiasm. Wanny left this team in offensive disarray and an aging defense who's star players don't really fit into Saban's preferred style of play. That said, things keep looking more and more like we'll be back in the running (or at least, the team will show up and play every week). But to expect much more than 6-8 wins would be extreme wishful thinking.

I think we are all homers!! why else would we be here talking football!! LOL but some are just a little more pragmatic...LOL

We all want the Dolphins to win every game... going away!!
