I don't know if it is just me, but I am a little worried about Culpepper facing his former team. I would like to think that everyone would be mature about it, but I think they may have some people out to "get" Culpepper back. I am not saying it would be endorsed by the Vikings organization, but this may be a personal score to settle from one of their players. Does anyone else think this could happen? Childress won't stop talking about him and I know this feeds his team's anger.

the game is like 9 months away there's no point in even thinking about it yet. not to mention we play them once every 4 years.

Whatever you do...don't look back!!!

plus the fact that he is fully supporting his former teamates in the boat scandel. i don't think his former teammates have the problem. not if brad runs on the field and takes out his knees...then id be concerned

FORGET WHATEVER CHILDRESS' Problem is! HE's the one who's SCREWED UP so far! If anything, I think those players are not too fond of their COACH!

Look at is this way:
If you were on a team for many years, (and you were cool with all your team mates) & suddenly you get traded, all your boys are not gonna wanna HURT you and INJURE you when they play you! They KNOW you're coming off an injury, yes..They're not gonna take it easy on you, but they're still your friends/ex teammates and are not gonna PURPOSELY try to RE-INJURE him.

Pep never had a problem with his teammates. I don't think they have any problem with him. I figure they probably still wish he was there. His beef was with Childress, not the team.

If I were on the Vikings, I'd be pissed right now. Childress came in and got rid of THE LEADER OF THAT TEAM and a HOT commodity right now: A GREAT QB!
If anything, the anger is with their coach.

I seriously doubt the players would do anything to hurt CPep. He was a pretty good teammate and they have more important things to worry about, such as trying to win now.

I would guess Daunte's teammates are madder at Childress for the way he handled Daunte and in letting him go than they are at Daunte himself.

The players understand the business side of football and this shouldn't be a problem or anything to really worry about.

I think the only person on that team that has a beef with Culpepper is Childress. Culpepper, minus the boat scandle which was a team issue, never had a problem in all his years at Minnesota until Childress took over.

Yeah, it's just you...j/k :D

The days of our Phins being unprepared for the NEXT challenge are long over. We won't hear Saban's players telling the opposing teams "see you after practice" right before the game. If you are worried about supposed motivation for other teams against us then imo you completely missed the whole point of Saban's post 3-7 "the score doesn't matter... etc." speech.
Childress...? The next play he calls will be his first.

That doesn't worry me, really. No one takes cheap shots on QB's in the NFL, even if they wanted to all the rules protect QB's. There's even more rules now, since the Carson Palmer injury.

pro football doesn't go like that. the nfl is a fraternity and all the players respect what one another does, yea it's a battle b/w the lines, but it's nothing personal- everybody is just trying to make their dollars. nobody is going to try and take out culpepper's knees or hurt him- now an injury could happen through the course of the game, but it won't be intentional.

Minny has some serious mending to do with their own players, Ziggy & childish really gutted this team by the antics they pulled and I don't think daunte's leaving/trade is a fin fault in any way or his. Besides with our "D" I doubt they'd want to get into too much of a tussle.
