after hearing some fins fans talking about ronnie brown on the radio.....it was on 790 and 2 guys called in saying he isnt that good.....they are calling him a bust already....are you kidding???? last yr ronnie played above expectations and made some great plays for us....and in the preseason he's looked good.....no holes yesterday...it'll happen but its ridiculous for fin fans to come out and say crapp like that....hate the pessimism and there's no room for it down here.....move to new york and go live in buffalo!!!

ronnie hasnt proven anything yet but we all need to give him a fair chance...now i know 80-90% of us fin fans feel he can do it.....this thread is to the remaining pessimists....believe or just LEAVE! Buffalo is calling you

You can't let other fans opinions affect you, because afterall they are only opinions. You have all kinds of fans, pessimist, optimist, fickle, bandwagon, etc etc etc...the list goes on and on. What matters most is you know the real deal about your team

i understand that and i will never let it affect me.....our 4-12 season was horrible but i watched every game till the end and stayed optimistic and now see that season as a blessing....but it was very bothersome to hear that caller today....and i was wishing i had the radio announcer job for 5 minutes this morning so that i could rip that guy...i accept ppl's opinions but there will absoulutely be some i will not respect

walter payton would not have done any better with the line we have right now. They do not open things up.

the way i look at the game yesterday is this.....we had great pass protection and very good passing game.....great defense...

negatives-run blocking and special teams.....the only way you get better is to learn from mistakes.....im glad welker waited till the last minute to call for it now than in game 1....im sure he wont do that again......im fine with our special teams getting burned cause im sure saban will be working on that 3 times as much these coming weeks.....not everything is gonna be perfect....these games are meant to evaluate "unproven" talent and to see where more work needs to be done

No ways Ronnnie is a bust. I live in Michigan so i dont get any Dolphins radio but come on this is going to be ronnies break out year. And he didnt even have a bad game last night.

The Panthers Run D was great last night. To call Ronnie a bust at this point of the season is pretty dumb. I hope you know that man

Theres not too much you can say about fans calling him a bust other than that they are lousy fans. Yeh, thats right...lousy fans. Ronnie, to me, hasnt done anything to develop the "bust" label this early in his career.

If anything, he seems like a good guy...hard worker, and everyone saw last year what he can do when he gets the ball in his hands. I can understand if you think he's a bust if he was awful last year. But that was anything but the truth. Time for fans to sit back and relax a little bit instead of calling players bust, especially ones with promise that Ronnie has. Some fans just want him to be a bust so they can whine about something. :tantrum:

Ronnie will be a beast, and many "fans" will still criticize him every time the OL doesn't open up a big hole for him. That's life dude, get over it.

Not to just quote the same thing that everyone else is saying but anyone calling Ronnie a bust is a moron. No matter which back played last night they would not have gained any more yards. 9 out of 10 run plays he was being hit as soon as he was handed the ball behind the line of scrimmage. Their D Line was eating our O Line for breakfast :eating:
They must not have seen the run where he got hit on a sweep and carried 3 guys 5 more yards down the field. We need to just all be excited about what he is going to do for us this year because it is going to be great.

I think ronnie will be more like Marshall faulk than your regular RB. In other words, he will be awesome in the passing game. The other thing that i noticed is the blocking has a lot of pulling in it where the DL is just crashing in. On the goaline going for the TD, the line was pulling. Why do you pull on a 4th and 1 against a stout DL like that? The blocking needs to change or something. Its just not happening.

I said it before, and I will say it again, DB is not our weak spot, our OL is but I do believe Houck will have them ready. Special Teams will get some work this week.

Ronnie a bust? LOL few backs would have run as WELL as Ronnie did last nite factoring in that the d-line was in the backfield practically the same time Ronnie got the ball many times and certainly before he could hit the hole.

I also want to point out that the line was not doing anything special either. simple pulls and straight on blocking. To judge Ronnie on a game like that in preseason is ridiculous IMO.

its ronnie's fault that the oline couldnt create any holes:rolleyes:

Ronnie will be fine. I think he's going to be someone thats dependable for us for years. One thing people seem to not be mentioning is that we have played 3 of the best D's in the nfl. Especially on Run D. That Franklin(name?) guy #77 was all over the place, he made everyone on our interior line look bad at times. I'm not worried about it, we'll be fine. Wonder if we would be better off with McKinney? thats funny
