these guys may not be big names but they have a ton of heart and of consistanly getting the job done. the most incredible stat that i just heard is that we havent dropped one pass.... yes one pass at all until fasano had dropped the very catchable pass last sunday pennington threw to him that would have been a first down.

thats amazing! all these years we have been plagued with dropped passes and a buch of no name kids are getting the job done much respect to the recievers and dont forget our maestro pennington.

We have had big time play from the WR position and lets give Chad some love he throws a catchable ball... Just imagine if we still had Chambers

As a whole I still think our receivers suck . We just have the luxury of having a very accurate Qb something that Chambers never had here. We need to be able to get some balls downfield and none of these receivers seem capable of making those plays. I personally think pennington is making spam look like Chicken.

If by "our recievers" you mean Fasano and Camarillo, Im with you. Who else has been consistent? Ginn was benched at one point and has led only one game in receptions. Hagan started and now is benched. Bess does not get thrown too. Wilford, for as big as he is, he cant be found on the field. NOW Camarillo and Fasano have been amazing. They're the only ones that have caught a TD pass. But with all that said, we do have a pretty good WRs but we are still missing that #1 WR that will tie the whole WR corp together. A #1 WR will make Camarillo a STUD, Fasano a STUD, and maybe help Bess and Ginn get some seperation.

Our recievers are young....thats all you can say. With the excpetion of Wilford, i am OK with the development

Don't forget Martin...he has had a few big catches, including in the last game, and he has started to block better (I have been a critic of his blocking...)

i think this is the first year he has discovered what a block is. If he were starting he would be exposed but as a second Te, Im fine with him.

You're not absolutely wrong; there is room for improvement. But I think you've been way off base on your criticism of Camarillo. You've contended frequently that the fact he's a primary receiver, let alone on the roster, indicates how forlorn our receiving corp is. I think it's time for your mea culpa because to almost everyone else, Camarillo, like Welker is the little engine that could.. the Pete Roses of receiving. Whatever needs to be done he finds a way to do it. He's been complimented by Pennington and others for his ability to run routes and for his good hands. Most importantly, he comes up big more often than not despite the fact that he doesn't fit your big bruising WR stereotype.

The reality is NOT that we have him because he's one of the best amongst a bad bunch, but instead that the Fins or most any other team would be lucky to have him no matter who their cadre of receivers might be!

we need a legit #1 when henne comes in. no doubt about it.

but our current group improves every week and will do until the running game gets stopped. or until roy is up for grabs.

he is the best of a bad bunch. If he were our 4th or 5th receiver I would not have a problem. people look at some numbers and think that he is worthy of being an NFL starting receiver. If you look at certain factors alone Mike Furrey should be a starting NFL receiver since he put up solid numbers in Detroit. The only reason that greg Camirillo is a starting receiver is because the guys behind him suck. Wilford and hagan combined have 4 catches. Im not knocking Camirillo he gives his all and he does alot of things well but him starting just shows how bad this corp is. If you want that caliber receiver as your starter fine but we badly need to get some better talent at Wr. I agree a team would be lucky to have him, just not as thier starter .

Why do you consider him a bad receiver?

Can't catch what's thrown to him?
Can't master complicated offenses?
Impeded by LOS bumps?
Can't get separation?
Can't runned a timing route?
Doesn't show up when it counts?
Not fast enough to outrun defenders on 65 yd TDs??

Maybe not #1, maybe or maybe not #2 (but then again, that's what Welker is), but to say #4-5 just doesn't resonate. Sorry

I see Camarillo along the lines of Wayne Chrebet (if Greg continues to play at his current level)...he'll always be talked about as flawed, but he's a gamer and has the heart of a lion.

I never said he was a bad receiver. Just because he had one long touchdown does not mean he can beat anybody deep. Lets not forget he was like the third or 4th receiver on that play. if it doesn't resonate with you thats fine. I think Camirllo is somewhat similar to a guy like Furrey maybe slightly less talented. Our receivers dont create anything extra and really have not been forced to make any really tough catches. If you like Camirrilo as our starter then thats your opinion. I for one think we need to upgrade our receiving corp and actually get some people that can do more than underneath stuff.
