ive seen 3 articles that say we are 21 mil over the cap, 9 mil over the cap, and then one that says we are under.

which one is it?

we were 21 million over... then we cut 5 players yesterday... we are still over... but expect more cuts today to get right under the cap...

phins will probably still make more salary cap moves/restructure for the next few days..... but they have to be under the salary cap at the end of day.

we were 21 mil over the cap, after the cuts we're still over the cap, but I'm not sure by how much

We were only 8.2 over. MacIntosh, tebucky and madison alone saved us over 14 mil. but it ain't over yet, I'm afraid.

I don't get it either, i guess. The paper says we're still over even with the cuts we made.

It's safe to say no one knows if we're over/under. We all have seen different things. We all have different opinions.

Why can't the Dolphins tell us how over/under we are?

today is the deadline for the cuts. we were 21 million over. yesterday we cut about 14 million... still have 7-8 million over.

expect... Seau to be cut (3 million), perhaps Carter (3 million +)... plus a few other guys will get us right under....

then a few guys will re-structure so that we have space for draft and FA

We are under currently

MIAMI (March 1, 2006) --The Miami Dolphins released Pro Bowl cornerback Sam Madison and three other players to make room under the salary cap for the start of free agency.
The Dolphins also cut backup cornerback Reggie Howard, left tackle Damion McIntosh and strong safety Tebucky Jones. The cuts put the Dolphins under the $94.5 million salary cap, assuming there will be no extension of the league's collective bargaining agreement.

How the hell did the Dolphins get to 21 over the cap in the first place? I remember Mueller saying they were in great cap shape in the middle of the season.

I would love to know the answer to this also... $21.9 million over is insane

Clumpy's page here on FH says we're a bit over 8 mil. The only way I figure this to have gotten so far out of wack is the failure to come to a new CBA extention and all the bonus $$$$ comes into this year alone. BUT, it affects all teams the same way tho. But what I don't get is that back in the early part of the season, therre were reports of us being in great shape like 20-24 mil UNDER at season's end. I never did figure out that and even said I didn't think it was even possible., at that time.

Because whoever said we would be 20 million under didnt think about

a. incentives..that kicked in when we started winning. Gus number alone went from 1.5 million cap number to 4.5 millon. The total incentives cause 10 million that was not accounted for.

b. estimated that the salary cap would be higher than 95 million..which was a guess.
