Bingo. Most season ticket holders don't give up their tickets because they are 'fair weather' fans. They give it up because they keep paying money to get kicked in the balls year after year.

I had the club seats for over a decade...I gave them up a few years ago cause I didn't want to keep wasting money on garbage.

I live in NY. and am a Miami Dolphins season ticket holder. I can't make most of the games, and instead of selling the tickets to opposing teams fans, which is easy to do with the internet, I send people from this forum to the games for free, to root for our team. I know damn well I cannot make the games, but try to support the team the best I can. I am not rich by any stretch of the imagination. I love this team, and part of my entire life has been being a Dolphins fan. I know everybody here here is a huge Dolphins fan also, and would never question anybody's fan loyalty. No matter if I agree with your point of view or not, I believe everybody here wants to see a winner. Wants to be proud of this franchise. I also believe we all have a right to say what we think is right or wrong, and how we think the team should be handled. That's part of what being a fan is. Whether your contribution to the team is financial, emotional, or both, It's us, who make this team possible, and fun to be a part of. Through this forum I have interacted with a bunch of people I have never met, and probably never will, because of our common interest, and passion for this team. I enjoy it, even as frustrating as it has been over the past decade or so. There are no fair weather fans on this site, and the way this team performs is not the fans fault. For those who were not alive, or were to young during the great years of this franchise, I can tell you that I am 100% certain, that the wait, and frustration we are going though, will be worth the it when we return to the glory years. My Grandfather lived in Miami ,and when the first ever tickets went on sale, he was first in line and he purchased our tickets. He lived for this team, and it was all he talked about until the day he passed at 95 years old. I used to tape the games for him, until his dying day in the nursing home, and he would watch the games all year long on his vcr. Fair weather fans my a$$, we are Dolphins fans !!!

We, the fans, have nothing to do with the sorry state of affairs that is this team .... this team sucks from top to bottom. It's been that way for years and all indications are that it'll be this way for years to come.

I know some folks like Ireland, or Philbin or Sherman or Coyle .... I was on their side until yesterday. I'm done. We need aggressive throat cutters.

There's talk of Gruden .... good. There's talk of Cowher ... good. Hell I've even heard talk of Rob Ryan ... fine. IDK anymore.

I just want an organization that gets the most out of their talent. An organization whose sole purpose in life is to go out and kick the sh** out of the other guy week in and week out.

I'm tired of three year plans and five year plans. I want a team that has an every year, every week, every moment, day in and day out plan.

If anyone is disappointed at that, so be it.

I agree, our fans are the worst. Most were claiming Pats 37 Dolphins 10. Looks like they only got part of their wish. I bet they were upset when the phins were winning 17-3.

Fans have been patient for far too long. When are things going to turn around...next year?
We've all heard that over and over again. The season ain't over, but it ain't looking good, either.

I do think it's the fans fault...the fans fault for causing ourselves pain.
We all know what's going to happen, we've seen it year after year.
When is enough, enough?

this team doesn't deserve 1 fan in the stands.
you can't keep shoveling us @#%$ every season and expect the fans to keep paying.

I'm shocked there still are fans. SMH

Not only is this team losing, they're painful to watch. I don't think it's too much to ask for a team to have ONE player on the roster who's jersey I'd like to own.

The NFL is a win now league and this rebuilding thing is a myth. This team has been seemingly rebuilding for the past decade, meanwhile teams like the Falcons and 49ers have completely passed us after hiring the RIGHT people.

spot on..not so much a myth but nowadays the bar is set far much higher than in the past mainly because of the money pumped into this day and age. Owners can't afford long term plans and quite frankly if you don't have the right coaches why should you persevere with them, hoping in 3 years time they may just get it right - you normally know from the beginning if coaches have it or not, regardless of the team, take Andy Reid for example.

In fairness Ross knew his stuff about Harbaugh and has to be credited in trying to get him - unfortunately we ended up with Philbin and co who currently seem to be on a learning curve.
