No but seriously, he can't turn out any worse than Kevin Brown did.
 
Good move. This guys is a good pitcher who has bad numbers because of COORS field. A lot of teams were after him which should tell you something.

He can spot start and be a steady arm in the bullpen.

Yeah, IF you overlook that K/BB ratio. Man, his ratio of 1.08 is almost as pathetic as his former team.
 
Chacon is coming here to start, period. He didn't workout as a reliever and his best game is as a starter. As a reliever their were times when he didn't hit 90 MPH. As a starter he's consistantly around 92-94. As a cheap alternative I definitely think he is worth the risk. We didn't give up anything for him (none of our top prospects according to experts) and we needed a starter. I would love Schmidt or someone of that makeup but we just couldn't afford him. I'm satisfied and I think this kid has a shot to do big things. I'll hold out judgement on the kid until a 3 or 4 starts. I'll be pulling for him big time!

I don't know very much about Chacon to be honest, but after looking at his numbers, his control problems would scare the s*it out of me.

And you guys talked about Clement and his problems with walks.
