I just can't see Ross hanging onto him after the Jets game. I doubt Ross will ultimately feel the need to stick by Philbin, I think public rumblings and internal discontent as well as advice from his trusted football "roundtable" of people will sway his actions.

I'm officially looking at Rex Ryan as my choice for the new Head Coach.

As much as I want Philbin gone, I don't see this happening. But stranger things have happened, and if it does I won't lose sleep over it. ;)

Allowing your players to pitch hissy fits to get the head coach fired sets a horrible precedent.

And this coming from someone who wants Joe fired.

dont get your hopes up

I'd be shocked after Ross publicly said he's returning. Happy, but shocked.

It's too late for that. The earliest we're able to get rid of Philbin is the bye week of 2015 and only then if we have a losing record.

Stephen Ross stopping his Michigan-inspired partying in order to fire the coach hes already publicly backed?

Hope you haven't put money down on that.

If It happens, Ross will be seen as the most untrustworthy owner ever. NO ONE will wanna work for that scumbag.

Mr. Magoo can't fire him because it would label him as untrustworthy and would ultimately repel other coaches based on his untrustworthiness. However, if Magoo could offer Failbin some money to resign, that could work out for both of them. Either way, I don't believe Failbin is gone and Magoo won't fire him.

I have no confidence in Ross to do the right thing.

Yes, Ross is very trustworthy, as he proved when trying to hire Harbaugh while Sparano was still the coach.
