Ok. Here we go.

The biggest problem I see (from far away Detroit) is the offensive line. That is causing Daunte to be sacked WAY to many times. This is unacceptable. Daunte should know, BY NOW, that he has no time and needs to make quick decisions. No one open, throw it away. Those are his options right now. BASICS.

He hasn't figured this out yet. When he does, maybe he will have better luck. How many times is that knee going to hold up to this constant barrage?????

Now, this is where I am going to say what I know many of you will yell at me for.

Time for Joey.

Now that you've all sworn up and down a storm, lets think about this for awhile. Joey came from the Lions, he's been a tackling dummy there for YEARS. He knows he has to make quick decsions. He'll be used to constant attack from blitz packages. He's been there before. Daunte is just not confident yet to make the quick decisions. How long do we give him before we give up on the season?

Until the o-line improves, let Joey run the show. If we don't, it's only a matter of time before Joey runs it anyway.

Daunte has NEVER made quick decisions period, EVER!!! And since i'm on this topic, how does a knee injury affect your decision making and slow down the thought process of throwing? If anything, u would think that Daunte would be more apt to get rid of the ball quicker to save his body the pounding. Am I missing something here folks?

Screaming like a girl and spikeing the ball into the ground is hardly better than takeing a sack. DC needs to make better decisions, no doubt, but he has a bazzilion times more talent that JH....(I actually do like JH, BTW.) OUr oline is the biggest issue right now. DC can't get comfortable at all. I saw him make some good plays today, and, some bad ones. Bottom line is that changeing staffs is takeing it's toll. Saban's biggest fault is not cultivateing his own people, and, cherry picking from other teams, when those people are HC candidates and will leave.

Our oline is suffering from injuries and, the whole offense suffers because of it.

This wouldn't be a problem if we had just shelled out the money for Brees. I say this because he gets rid of the ball alot quicker than CPep. 349 yrds today against the Carolina Panthers. For people who said that he was just playing against ****ty defenses they are wrong. Brees a great QB and again we passed on him. That was my venting. I don't think any QB could play behind our line but Brees would be able to get the ball out quicker if he was behind our line.

..... Screaming like a girl and spiking the ball into the ground is actually alot better than taking a sack.... Would you rather take a sack and lose alot of yardage or throw it away and get another chance from the same spot.... WHILE preserving the health of your already "injured" qb who will never be totally 100 percent? You tell me.

I agree with most of what the original poster is saying. The offensive line is definitely the biggest factor in this mess. I think at some point this season they will finally get it togethor ( and LJ Shelton will learn that it's okay to move SIDEWAYS too). As for Harrington, I think he should go in also. Not because Daunte's playing liek crap, but because we brought Joey in incase Daunte's health was an issue. Well, it looks to me like it's an issue. The knee is not fine. All the ligaments are healed and everything I am sure, but the strength that he had in his leg before the injury is not there. Furthermore, it's affecting him mentally. I've seen him shy away from putting weight on it quite a few times. I just think that it's only logical to put JH in now. Otherwise, why did we waste a pick to get him?

I have to admit that I unfortunatley got caught up in all the hype after we got Daunte this year. I neglected to look at how his stats were when he had Moss to throw to and could actually scramble. I realize that our offensive line is the major problem on this team but that is still not an excuse for making bad decisions and holding onto the ball to long. I look at what Brees is doing in NO, which is a team that is supposed to be rebuilding and right now he looks 100% better than
DC does on a team that were supposed to be contenders. Mularky also has to start calling a better game!!! Enough with all the end arounds and halfback passes, get back to the basics. I now see why Buffalo played so poorly while he was their head coach. I don't necessarily
think that Joey is the answer either, that is unless he gets the opportunity to prove me wrong.

I agree with the part about the o-line being our main problem, but I still think we have a better chance of winning with Daunte in there than Joey.

Does he have time to go through all his reads???
