I'm good with FA so far, a couple more guys and bring on the draft!

When you have cancer you cut it out - and remember yor PB WR also won a trophy in Hawaii - amazing stuff

Besides saying he'd like to have a great QB at the probowl, (something our FO has been saying for a while), how is he such a cancer in the lockerroom?

And just because you don't like a guy, doesn't mean you trade him for nothing.

If it was in the works since the combine then I'm pretty sure this is the best we could get for a guy constantly around women getting slapped or stabbing him. His 6 TD's certainly should have brought him a 1st rounder because that will be impossible to replace!

What makes you so sure when guys not nearly as good are flying off the FA board?

Your hatred for him blinds you from the truth. He is worth more to us than 2 3rd rounders. Bottom line. Make fun of his TD amount if you like, but he was the best offensive threat we had by far.

Sorry you think I hate the guy because I don't. I just don't understand the hype or might I say the crying over him....3 td's in 2010, 6 td's in 2011 and yet we should have received a bounty of picks for him, lol.

I look at receiving 2 - 3rds as good value for getting rid of the salary, the dropped TD's, and the head ache. Would I have liked more, yes but the realistic view is BM is not worth more right now.

Damn im glad to read this... Completely agree with you. The negative talk on here is crazy.

We'll see what wonderful value these 2 picks give. And if you think headaches were around with him...wait until we continually have our offense off the field without him.

And keep bringing up the TD total....but Ive yet to hear the WR's that we've had in past years that equal his production.

10 years of garbage and its just more of the same...and you expect people to be blind faithers and be happy about their favorite team?

Don't understand the purpose of this thread ... because "so far" (key word) we are worse off than last year ... & that's South of the Mendoza line.

I suppose Rah-Rah is ok ... but "so far" in football schmartz, we've got alot of serious issues ... primary being a very limited passing game & several glaring holes. i.e. QB, WR, OL, Pass rush, Safety, DB depth ... just to name the major ones.

Chris Chambers in 2005 had 82 rec and 11 TDs- both more than Marshall in 2011, CC also had 11 TDs in 2003
Marty Booker in 2006 had the same TDs as BM in 2011 on 55 receptions
Anthony Fasano had 7 TDs than BM in 2011 with just 34 catches in 2008, he had one less TD in 2011

we can get 6 touchdowns from alot of guys that won't be suspended for punching women in the face

Obviously you haven't checked the YARDAGE on these players. Chambers broke 1000 once...ONCE. Nobody else came near. By the way, besides his best year...how about you check Chambers #'s besides TDs. Close to Marshall? I don't think so.

You also don't like the reception count either. Marshall is well over 80 and breaks 100 at times. Close to anything we got or will get? No.

On a team that already has a ton of holes, the strategy is to dump your SOLE playmaker in the passing game and have NO legitimate strategy for replacing him???
I like the Marshall pickup, and I like that we kept Solai, but dumping Marshall for next to nothing probably makes us the worst offense in football right now. In addition to our big needs at FS, DE, LB, RG, RT, TE, AND QB, we now need two wide receivers. This team has a little going for it on defense, and nothing going for it on offense right now. We're on pace for another 6-10 season AT BEST.

PITIFUL!

Hey, don't let the facts get in the way of this Guy's opinion.

The crying isn't necassarily about losing Marshall, it's about the value we got for him. It was horrible. Also Ireland doesn't suck because he made this deal. He's made a number of bad decsions and the frustration is just building up. Since he has been our GM for every good move the team has made they have made at lest 1 horrible 1. And that holds true no matter how long some may think he should be held accountable. 1 or 2 years, hell even if you want to hold him accountable for the past 1 or 2 months he stil makes 1 bad move for every good one he makes.
