I wont pretend I am a scout like that other clown. Ive been trashing Tannehill for awareness, toughness, etc...But the deep ball issue--- If you watch games around the league many deep completions are on post patterns, seams to slot receivers etc. Ex: AJ Green long td yesterday, and Roddy White's (seam ourt of slot) Those are much easier throws than go routes down the sideline, which is the only way the Fins utilize Wallace. yes, it would be nice if Wallace caught the ball at its highest point for some long completions. But the throws are generally off to him, but we need to find more ways to get him down the field besides a go route to the outside.. That said no way can we be sure Tannehill is our guy. I will never get over sliding short of that first down, what a bitch move

The slide was lack of awareness for sure. It was not a lack of toughness. The guy is tough as ****. I have seen dive for 1st downs and get leveled. Guy was sacked 60 times and would still sacrifice his body in the pocket.

Im with you, it was an awareness issue, or not knowing the rules--which is awareness.
Not surprised by a guy who doesn't even know what team is in what division

There's no need to defend him, he had 2 ****ty games back to back.

He's gonna be the qb next year, we just gotta hope he gets better.

I saw a lot of progression from his first year to second year, enough for him to get a 3rd year. If you didn't see said progression then you lack any kind of common sense.

Ya I see progression. Not much on the awareness side, I don't think having "IT" is something that develops either... But just bc I don't think he has "IT" doesn't mean he shouldn't be back next year. Dan Marino isn't walking through that door. There are only a handful of franchise QBs, why cut the cord on a guy who can be above average unless the next Luck falls into your lap??

This! Nicely stated....

He's showed it with 4 4th quarter comebacks this season. That's the only IT I care about.

Think about this.....All most everything Tanny knows about QB'ing is basicaly from Sherman.Lets see if Tanny improves with
a real OC and QB coach.

Posted this last night in another thread, but thought it was relevant here....

Tannehill just finished his 2nd year. Here is a comparison against a couple of other QB's after year two....

QB CMP% YDS TD INT Rating

Tannehill 60.4 3913 24 17 81.7

Dalton 62.3 3669 27 16 87.4

Brady 62.1 3764 28 14 85.7

I don't think it is time to panic about the QB yet.......lets give him another year.....

I'm looking forward to this.

Get a qb guy in here and let's see what he's got.

I believe he should get another shot, but I would not be against drafting another QB either. Hard to believe we signed Wallace for all that money when T-Hill couldn't get him a consistent throw. Sherman of all people should have known this about him and I don't believe he will ever get his deep ball under control.
