Im hoping we make these 4 moves.. what do u think?

1. Im hoping we sign Brees if the money is right.. i do think having him is grand becuz he is better than any qb we've had since Marino, but I don't want to give him big money with that injury. (is the injury to his throwing arm?)

2. Sign T. Owens. With a big play receiver, this teams becomes favorites to win the big game. Owens would allow chambers to be beastly because there arent to many #2 corners that will be able to keep up with him.

3. Sign Mawae and Adams. Just to further sweeten our free agency deals.

4. Get younger on defense through the draft.

He may be out of our league now Culpepper is wanting out of Minny and they have more cap room than us. So Im thinking that we may end up with someone else, dont know who but someone else

Nope not in this lifetime or the next, hes too much of a cancer. We have more pressing needs other than WR.

Only if they are playing at vet minimum not much else, they are in the decline and both represent risks due to injury, this does not fit with a get younger philosophy. If I had to choose one it would be Mawae

This is one point we can agree on, but remember that we are short draft picks and unless we draft down to accumulate there will not be as many bods in as we would wish.

Lets wait and see what happens I would expect a flurry of deals on Sun/Mon as guys are tied up quickly , and it remains to be seen if we can compete with everyone, remember all other teams got some cap room as well.

I disagree somewhat.

1. I agree that signing Brees should be the top priority.

2. Left cornerback. Don't matter if it's a stud like Michael Huff from Texas through the draft or aquiring Charles Woodson via FA.

3. I'd target the offensive line next, focussing on LeCharles Bentley over signing a 35 year old Mawae. Take a tackle in the first round if we can get Brees...see Winston Justice from USC

If these moves are satisfied, I think we'd have a Super Bowl caliber roster along with world class coaches. Any other moves they make would be icing on the cake. Let FA begin!
 
you know, I'm thinking that money is not going to be the only factor for brees. Look at the situation in minny and down here. It might be a homer's view, but I would much rather be coming into this situation than minny. And I just can't believe that Brees is sitting there looking at minny as a better opportunity for him. I'm not saying he won't do it, but that would be a risky call by him if he were to sign with the Vikes. There's no way you can compare the talent level here to there. And regardeless what happens with Brees, Daunte is out, so there is not one guy on that team that is star quality, and I can't even think of one that would be a probowler.

I'm still 100% against T.O. I would rather the Dolphins have a harder time making it to the super bowl and still be good in 2-3 years than getting T.O. and being an early favorite to make it to the Super bowl and have our team collapse in 2years. JMO
 
1. Sign Drew Brees or get a great starting QB. And draft Omar Jacobs as the future QB
2. Im learning from some FINFANS that Chris Hope is a good person to pick up for the safety we need.
3. Bentley for our center.
4. Get Manny Lawson or Jimmy Williams at the 16th spot
 
I agree and disagree

1. Get a QB. Brees would be my preference if an examination shows his injury is healing and hopefully will not be a problem in the future.

2. Don't want T.O. All world talent, but I think he will be asking for too much money. If the price is right, go after him on a one year contract or a seriously backloaded contract.

3. Get Maewae not Adams. I think our o-line would be a more pressing issue.

4. Focus on defense but don't forget about the offensive line in the draft. I think one of our first two picks should be used on the o-line. After that, go for broke on defense.
 
I honestly believe Brees, Mawae and Adams will be Dolphins within the next 3-4 days.

However...while I like Brees, with the CBA agreed on I think we should aggresively pursue Bently over Mawae. And I think Adams' tank is empty, he's fat, lazy and out of shape...we can do better.

TO won't be a Dolphin, too expensive.

Saban will have an excellent draft.
 
SAY NO TO T.O. we dont need him, why does everyone want a guy who will tear apart our team by being a cry baby? look at what he has done to his last two teams, I dont want him doing that to us too!
 
1. Pick up Brees and then cut Gus, add back to the salary cap.
2. Pick up Adams for the right price and then cut Traylor. Adams at 32 is younger than 37 Traylor. Same job same position unless we can keep both at low contracts.
3. Bring in Chris Hope, kid would be a star in our system. We could afford him because we have lowered the cap by cutting Gus and Traylor or restructuring them.
4. Bring in Mawae, move Hadnot back to Guard but let him learn from a great pro like Mawae for a year.
5. Draft BPA at every postion. We have young and old guys in every spot. If we bring in the young guys to learn from the old we will not have any drop and will be able to build a dynasty.
