Just curious here how many of you think with a better QB we would actually excel on offense. I'm sure most of you are thinking yes with a better QB we'd be better on offense you dumb **** but is it really that simple? IMO Gases scheme and playcalling are trash, so I really dont know if he would have this offense humming with a better signal caller.

I think the offense has weapons and a good coach/qb combo with all of the same other pieces on O wouldnt have a problem putting points on the board. The problem though is I dont think we have a good QB, HC, or OC.

What is your take? Are we a QB away, a HC away, or both?

Not defending Gase, but this is the same offense Peyton Manning broke records with. It's been scaled back continuously because we've never had the qb and receivers who could run it. Qb isn't everything, but it's pretty close. Green Bay's offense without Rodgers was a train wreck.

Even with the offense decimated with injuries, offense is the least of our worries right now.

What I was basically going to say when I read the OP by referring to Peyton's 2013 season.

I'm assuming Gase knows Miami's OL can't give Tannehill all day in the pocket and knows Tannehill is not good enough in the pocket to be able to avoid sacks, buy time, go through reads and make the smart play.

Where I find most fault with Gase is in three years he has not made improving quality of QB the #1 priority. Not only #1 but he seems totally satisfied with a below average QB to run his system.

Perhaps it's just his ego thinking his system is so good talent is optional.

Yep. Need a great QB and the offense will take care of itself. Look what that Houston kid did last night to us. And last year before he got hurt vs after he got hurt. The GB example is a good one. Or the Colts without Luck, or, well the ‘93 fins after Marino went down. It’s all about the QB moreso now than ever. We had 1000 yards in last years SB right? Need to find an offense that can put up 40 in some games. We struggle to get to 21 in most.

Right!
Even with Brock at the helm, we're scoring more points than with Tannehill.
And NO, I'm not, and never have been, a Tannehill Basher.

When watching the all 22 video there are receivers open. I believe Gase was hoping on Tannehill, having 2 years in the system, would not just grasp the offense, but improvise. Tannehill is not an improvisational QB, he is robotic within the play call and lacks anticipatory insight.

Peyton Manning was so great and cerebal he could play in any offensive scheme and play well.
