There is no other player in recent memory (that I can think of) that has been more polarizing than Chad Pennington. When the game Monday Night has concluded, or hell maybe even after our first offensive series, This message board will be on fire by people from two different camps:

The, I told you so, Chad-Pennington-is-a-weak-armed-poor-excuse-for-a-quarterback-that-severely-limits-our-offense-and-will-never-get-us-to-the-promised-land-start-Chad-Henne-or-Pat-White-camp.

and...

The, I told you so, we-can-win-with-a-great-game-manager-like-Chad-Pennington-because-of-his-accuracy-and-high-football-I.Q.-camp.

There's very rarely any gray area with us Dolphin fans when it comes to evaluating CP. The thing is, regardless of the outcome Monday night, it may not be his fault we lose, or because of him that we win.

Discuss.
 
Man, I couldn't agree iwth you more. people either say Chad sucks or hes the best weve had since Marino. never anything in between. and besidse hes not the only reason we win or lose.
 
How bout he launches the ball for 40+ yards atleast twice on monday night, atleast one of them connecting for a TD, not to prove the haters but knowing he needs to take more shots downfield in order for this offense to operate at full capacity. Everyone is so worried but I think it will be fine, its been a long week.
 
Regardless of which camp you are from, he has played horrible his last 2 games. Not all his fault, but a lot of it is. The very things that he has been praised for, it what he is struggleing with. 7 turnovers in his last 2 games. This needs to get corrected now!
 
The only thing that polarizes Dolphin fans is their desire to see the team do better and how it needs to go about it. Even if Pennington lights it up and we win the next 15 games in a row, there will be somebody (player, coach, newspaper writer) that is targeted as an enemy of state. I'm not saying you're wrong about the "I told you so's" but I've got no problems with Pennington that a good O-line (and impressive win) cannot fix.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees that. On another note, what happened to you at the Falcons game man? You disappeared after the 3rd quarter. Anyways, glad to have you back.
 
I don't know. John Beck was pretty polarizing. We had people still pointing out how good he did in a preseason game this season for Baltimore. At least Pennington is a starter. That was a bit much for a third string QB. What am I saying, now we have Pat White...
 
Like someone else said yes the last 2 games have been bad/sub par. Too many picks, to many check down, to many dink and dunks, to many sacks, to many fumbles. And yes not all is his fault but a lot is, with that being said im not crazy enough to forget that 1.) CP is the best thing to happen sinse Marino. 2.)CP top reason we went 11-5 last season. Couple things need tohappen, CP needs to let loose on Monday night and take some shots down field, its long over due and the little dinks and dunks arnt gonna win us any big ones. Heres to hoping Cp changes the mindset because if he does he can take advantage of the D bigtime.

Agreed. We are very passionate. Sometimes that takes away the ability to be objective and the gray area I alluded to before.
 
There's always an I told you so person for everything, no matter what, unfortunately. It also seems like many of them like to lurk around here.

do you even have to ask :lol:? we were gettin our ***** handed to us. thats not exactly how i wanted my 1st ever dolphins game to turn out. it took me this long just ot work up the courage to come back on this message board.

Yeah, but there are some "fans" who'd rather lose because of a certain player so they can have the satisfaction of saying they were right about him. I don't know if I have a least favorite Dolphins player but if I do, I'm going to root my a## off that he proves me wrong, not right.

TBH, i dont even care anymore. This team has been in "rebuild" mode for 17 years since the 1992 season. Its like we own some .0001 penny stock and are all bag holders waiting waiting for that day when the dolphins return to their former glory.
