Since they are enough bashing threads out there,I'm here to say that I'm not giving up on the dolphins.In my mind we can still make the playoffs and if they don't make it?So what at this point nobody expect nothing good from this team except for us the fans.We still have 6 home games that might turn into wins even though they are not easy and if we can steal a couple of games on the road it might get interesting.I might be dreaming,I might be high but I don't care.I'm ruling for this team all the way so,go dolphins and good luck the rest of the way!
 
Im not giving up either!! cmon we can do 11-5 just fire MM keep Joey starting and play smart.
 
They're definitely getting better as a team. It's a shame about all the dropped passes, but I think the season is still not lost.

We're not going to win the Superbowl obviously, but they should still get at least to .500 this year...

I think at some point Saban is going to have to admit that Joey is the Dolphins Quarterback of the future and not Daunte....
 
Most of us fans are too jaded and worn with defeat to be hopeful about this season. Look, no one's giving up on them - we just don't think that they can realistically pull it off. Hell, if they have an 11-5 season, we'll all be very happy - and very stunned. That record is in the back of all of our heads saying "maybe... just maybe," but we're too scared to voice it due to the overwhelming evidence that we will not get there. I'm glad you guys have hopeful spirits, but just don't let it crush your dedication when those hopes burn out. This is what it means to be a football fan. To be there in the bad times. The REALLY bad times. When "fans" of other teams (friggin' Steelers...) literally WANT you to lose EVERY week. And it bugs the SH*T out of you, especially because you DO lose every week. Then, that one special time, miraculous things happen - and you're there. And you know it's been worth it.

I am not giving up...I will always be a fan.......but we still have numerous problems to address. Number 1 is showing more urgency to make plays. Too many drops. The biggest problems I see are lack of big plays. We still need more players.......draft or free agency, we are not there yet.
 
This team is so close to geing a decent football team it is very sad. I feel the problem is a lack of focus by the plkayers, it seems they all take turns making the "next" mistake, the "next" penalty, and they seem to always do it when the mistake hurts us worst. Either its the OL getting called for holding or its the defense getting called for PI, or Joey thowing a bad ball for an interception, or Coach Saban not using his time outs vey wisely at the end of the game. At least Saban was able to admit his mistake when he mouthed "my fault" at the end of the game.

I'm not giving up on this team, but I'm also not expecting much this season from them. Right now I'm all about next year, and if something happens this year I'll be pleasantly surprised.

my thoughts exactly.

i hope that saban does not bail out on us. for some damn reason...our offense looks so flat in the start of games...i don't know...but i hope they can stay together...oh and take a look at how long it took holmgren to get the seahawks playing like a contender...this is Saban's 2nd year...that's all...only his second season...next season...hopefully we will be ready for a playoff run...yeah and you are right...chambers dropped an easy catch that resulted in an int. hagan had some drops but it was his 1st game this season...morris fumbled and that did cost us big time.

No one's "giving up" on the team. Everyone's still fan. What we're giving up on is the season.

If you think a team that had to sqeak by the Titans, LOST to the Texans, and LOST to the Jets is going to rip off 10 straight wins you're definitely being a

yeah...you are right...tough schedule...it sucks big time...such high expectations...you know...i can't even wear my Fins gear without getting harrassed by someone...i live in ct...pats country and i represent the Fins all the time...anyway...all i hear is why you wearing that? you know they suck right? the Pats are going to the SB again...you going to lose to the Jets...so on and so on...it sucks man.

Well, I never give up on my Dolphins,and I still think we can come out of this and be respectful,BUT I'm just not sure we are gonna make the play-off's. I hope I'm wrong,but 1-5 is a huge hole to come all the way back from tto the play-off's. Matter of fact,it would be interesting to know if ANY TEAM has ever done that ?
 
I am as rabid a Dolphin's fan as you will ever meet, but I'm also a realist. I hope good things for the Dolphins, and I watch them religiously (even during the 4-12 season), but I just cannot even conceive of this team pulling off a winning season, let alone a playoff season. We are in the basement, not only of the AFC East, but the entire NFL.

If you want to be optimistic and think the Fins can make the playoffs, good for you, but I just can't go there.
 
Some people just can face reality!! Do you think we want this to be the case!!! The facts are what they are! This team isn't very good!! That doesn't make us less fans because we feel that way!! One thing has nothing to do with another!!
