I was really mad after the Packers game but not today. This team showed a TON of heart and Detroit made some great plays. I think this is truly a day where you tip your cap. Need to take care of business Thursday.
 
I am. This game should of been won, but was chocked away. Heart does not get you in the playoffs. Wins do. The continued lethargic starts and inability to execute the 5 minute drill and close out games on offense and defense will likely doom this team.
 
I was crushed after the Packers game. I am just disappointed after the team fought so tough.
 
We lost our big free agent signing, yet another game in the last second in a literal deja vu replay where we couldn't get a first down to seal the game and gave up a TD pass in the final seconds, went 1 for 4 in the red zone for TD's, yeah, break out the champagne. And now we go up against a team that has beat us four straight times with our weakest OL starting lineup against their biggest strength, the D-line which disrupts everything we want to do from running the ball with a banged up Miller to giving Ryan time not to make boneheaded INT's.

Here's why I am "mad", this same exact thing happened against GB, was nothing learned? Philbin continues to guide this talented team towards a .500 or near .500 record. We have to go 5-2 to get to 10-6 just to have a shot at the playoffs through probably tie-breakers. Finish games Miami, moral victories net you nothing but free time in January.

If Philbin can't guide a team with this much talent to the post-season he'll never get any Miami team there. Look at Arians in Arizona. One year and he has a team whose been banged up on D at an 8-1 record, and half those games with a backup QB. Some men are just great coaches, and some are just really nice guys.

But I digress...
 
It's frustrating we can't put teams away in the 4th when we have the lead (DET, GB, last year CAR and BAL off the top of my head). Philbin has to stop treating 3 minutes left in the game like there is 30 seconds left. Be aggressive Be aggressive Be aggressive.....
 
That's what happens when you buy what the Dolphins have done so far. 5-3 and in the thick of it. But then they go out and show they are the same weak-minded team they've been for 12 years. The whole season is one where they have to prove it to the fans they're worthy of something.

Today's game takes them 2 steps back.

Still waiting for someone to show me the box on the scoreboard for "heart".

When I was a sophomore in high school, I played on a team that won a single game, the first one. After every one of those blowout losses that followed, we were told constantly by our coaches that "scoreboards don't measure heart". It was then that I realized that harping on a team's "heart" is generally what you do for losers.

I am mad. Seeing this team lose the same way they've lost 1/3 of their games the last two years just forces me to realize that this isn't a playoff team, and every single cupcake win they get that doesn't get them to the playoffs is another win in which the chances the mad bullcrap under Philbin will continue.
 
1 playoff appearance in 13 years.....yeah im not mad, im just jumping for joy that we played them close and showed a TON of heart. unbelievable. this team should be 7-2 yet its the same ole garbage, 5-4, pretty much no chance at winning the division and shooting for a wc. losing at den and ne is a forgone conclusion, so we have to win the other 5 games to get to 10 wins...yeah thats gonna happen.

Sorry dude, but the problem from Philbin is almost never lack of aggression, it's that either aggressive or conservative, he's never found a way to get this team to seal a game when they only have to get a first down to win. We've passed when its not necessary as much as we've run, and the reality is that he can't ever put 3 plays together of any combination to get us 10 yards.
 
NE, Buffalo, The Jets, Denver, C'Mon Man! Do you really think this team has the heart and stamina to do anything? Lamar Miller has an Ouchie, Pouncey needed surgery missed time and now and looks like Crap, Misi has had an Ouchie all year, Trusnick LMAO. Predicition: Wake disappears, Clay fakes illness, Tannehill finishes the year around 85 QBR and the Jets win 4 out of the next 6.
