Though offensive tackle Bryant McKinnie would love to play here, the Dolphins had not called or worked him out as of Tuesday morning, even though he graded out much higher than Marc Colombo in every category last season (McKinnie was 16th among tackles, Colombo 76th, according to Pro Football Focus). But Colombo played for this Dolphins staff in Dallas; McKinnie didn’t.

We have a stupid *** rookie head coach, general manager and owner. We may have some talent, but the idiocy in the brain trust is overwhelming it. How many games will our special teams cost us this year? How many 3 point leads will we try to sit on? I'm looking forward to the season, but I can't remember another year that I've felt so down on the team as this year.

umm we don't have a rookie head coach. Also Bryant Mckinnie is a biscuit away from 400 lbs. He is in no shape to play football.

At this point, McKinnie's best career choice is to enter the sumo circuit.

Dude, you need another hobby. :) Viking fans will tell you why Mckinnie was released and why no one else wants him. There's a reason no one's beating down his door. How he graded last year is irrelevant to showing up to camp fat and out of shape as well.

And as for the overwhelming idiocy you refer to...take a good look at the roster before Ireland et al got to Miami and now. No comparison. This team is so much better. Yes, there are holes, but the talent is much, much improved. They have numerous pro bowl calibre players - Marshall, Long, Dansby, Vontae Davis to name a few (Langford may join that group as well). The QB situation is still unsettled but don't kid yourself, it's a very, very hard position to solve. Look, you're basically trying to find that guy that's top 10 in the world at playing the position. Not every draft has them, it's just reality. Hopefully there's some improvement from within to come.

would have been better just to say Tony Sparano but oh well

At least using Henne as an excuse is valid. To say this team won't contend solely on the RT position is ****ing bonkers.

yea not just on RT but u could say we are in year 4 and once again we are moving pieces around with only one stable good piece

I don't understand why some ppl still cling to sparano as if he will lead this team to anything other then mediocrity. :idk:

It's not solely on the RT position. It's their love of Cowboys castaways that makes them look brainless. Colombo is a turnstile grading 76th! Competition is fierce in the NFL and the gap that separates winning from losing is minute. A QB that won't listen to his receiver, Head coaches that can't coach, I kringe when I think of Colombo and Lydon Murtha blocking for Chad Henne. Anyway, we'll see what Henne and Ryan do soon enough. I think the team has improved from last year with Edds, Odrick, Pouncey and Gates, but hopefully Sparano and Daboll know what it takes to win and it's not dump offs.

"But he went to the U".................................

sigh* im not very optimistic about our season because we wont sign a 400 lb lug who has zero motivation... really?

Bobby Carpender last year was another great Cowboy trash pickup....

McKinnie is at risk of DYING if he plays. That's not an exaggeration. Dude is overweight and out of shape, and in the Florida heat and humidity, he's a liability more than an asset to any team. I don't like Colombo, but I'd rather not bring in someone who has shown as little work ethic as McKinnie.
