Hey, I was as high as anybody on getting Manning...who wouldn't be...he is an all-time great. But I knew as soon as Marshall was dealt that we had been eliminated as he was the only guy possible for us that could have controlled Marshall.

Were not getting him...so where does that leave the Miami Dolphins? I really like Tannehill, but we can't be sure he'll be there at 8 for sure. I like Matt Flynn, he is a winner. He won in college and has done well in his two NFL outings.

Is he more or less of a gamble than an NFL rookie QB? I would say less, as he has played well as an NFL starter in 2 starts.

Our head coach coached him as the OC of the Packers, so if he is onboard with him...so am I.

Ironic fact...Peyton Manning was the losing QB in the last playoff game won by the Miami Dolphins...and I was in attendance as Lamar Smith carried the ball over 40 times for 208 yards.

If we weren't getting Manning, getting rid of Marshall was the right thing to do, no young QB needs Brandon Marshall and his baggage.

Remember, Danny started his career with a young Duper and Clayton...lets get Flynn and a young receiver for him to grow up with.

I hope we pick up Flynn as most know I don't think Moore has the goods. However, I will support him if he is the starter. I just hope we bring in some legit competition. Matt Moore, now with no B. Marshall has me worried about a 3-4 win season.

If Philbin thinks Flynn the man then I'm on board.. If nothing else Flynn gives us a QB who know the system in and out and can teach the offense to all the rest of the players.. And maybe for once we get lucky and Flynn is as advertised.. But I honestly think the bigger signing would be Winston.. Fixing the O-line will do worlds for the running game and who ever is back there at QB.. And even a average QB will do very well with top 5 O-line in front of him giving him time to throw the ball.. So for my two cents signing Flynn and Winston would be freakin awesome.. Go Fins..

Also lets not forget that BM was a 4th round draft choice. This draft is loaded with WR talent, hopefully we can find a good one that would complement Flynn.

Knowing that NOBODY knows Flynn better than Philbin is quite a comfort. If Philbin thinks that Flynn is a top tier QB then I am also on board. That being said however, we are still dealing with a rookie head coach with no record. I know I am in the minority here...but after all these years without a top QB...I would like some insurance. That may not be a viable option. The Dolphins need a pass rusher, an RT, WR, DB, and a TE. We need to face reality folks...the Dolphins O is being rebuilt. I would not be suprised to see Ireland draft TWO WR's in this draft.

Im a little skeptical that our first priority list was a 36 year old coming off neck surgery. If flynn is philbins guy, why didnt we fly him in day one of free agency?

I've had a good feeling about our team ever since we didn't get Fisher which was imo a blessing in disguise.....now we didn't get Manning with I'm happy about too....getting rid of a head case and getting 2 picks in return is awesome regarless of what he did on the field....we don't need him and all his drops.....is a new time and beggining for us.

Ozzy rules!!

I'm about to cry. This is one of the best posts with comments I have read on this site for a long time. I think I needed this. Please keep it going.
