With the major needs with this team coming up, there is no doubt that the Fins should draft O.J. Howard at TE! Watching him today at the Senior Bowl he was a man among boys! Can you imagine him as a middle seam threat in a Gase offense? This kid plays his best games on the biggest stages and I believe he can dominate at the next level. Unfortunately, I believe after his showing, he will move up into the top 15!

I was on board for defense, but if Howard is there, I think you have to take him.
He would provide the best value and 1st yr impact IMO.
My feeling is that they should pursue one of the top FA G, add a 2nd solid G in FA and release Williams, Albert. Maybe try and sign a MLB in FA.
Spend the rest of the draft on defense

As much as we need D, yes he's that good. If there, you take him.

But, I doubt he falls that far - and I won't support trading up for him.

If the team was one guy away ... But we aren't.

I am all for adding talent and if he's deemed the BPA no question you take him. Our needs are what they are and TE has been on that list long enough. I could argue getting another first rounder on offense to help your QB is as valuable anything you could add to your defense.

We will surely add a LB or two before we even get to the draft so if it plays out with Howard in the 1st I'll be thrilled.

Logical. However, IF Gase was crazy about Howard enough to get the Fins to trade up for him, I think the majority of FH would be really excited to have a potential superstar TE. I know I would.

I wouldn't lose sleep over parting with 2018 pick or two for a freak like OJ Howard. The security he'd provide for not only Tannehill, but the entire offense, is too much to pass up IMO.

I think the same if Dolphins acquired Jimmy Graham through a trade (I wouldn't be surprised if it happened) that had the Fins parting with a 2018 pick.

I don't think you draft a TE as your 1st pick on a team thats already full of weapons. Our third rounder + picks cant get on the field!!!!! Afhghfhsjdlfek

OJ Howard, if drafted by Miami, would be on the field from Day 1. He instantly becomes the best TE we've had in..god only knows how long. Not only a seam threat but a good run blocker, so you'd get boost to the run game, as well.

Unlike the Carroo situation at WR, it won't be an issue for OJ to see the field at TE. His competition is a 6'2 H-back in a tight end costume.

I want a real tight end. A monster. I am sick of these 6 foot barelys...

I want to see how a defense is going to cover Landry, Stills, Parker, Ajayi in the backfield, AND A MONSTER at TE. good luck.

Two of the most frustrating aspects when watching other teams vs Miami are LB and TE play.

Look at the TE's who are in the AFC, like the playoff teams, are TE's dont measure up no way no how.

Im not advocating trading up for Howard but its definitely a need on this team.

My thoughts exactly. Don't think he'll be there either, but what he would add to the offense is unreal. Miami would force opponents to score a lot of points to win games. Could see the Dolphins putting up 30 plus points in most games.

Like you said, go defense the rest of the way in the draft.

Not sure who you are referring to as an H back...Jones is 6'3" and 270....Gray is 6'4" and 255....

very good point...adding him actually makes our D better by keeping them off the field...no way in hell tho that he will be there when we pick...now if he's there in the mid teens still which I still don't see happening, I wouldn't be pissed if we got rid of a mid rounder from 2018...but I just dont see him going to the mid teens anyway

Ok im convinced and down with OJ id he's within reach. I want a middle lb first and foremost but a probable superstar is a dream no matter what side of the ball.

He's not going to be available at 22 but I could see New England trading up
giving away most of their draft for him as a future replacement for often injured Gronk

this guy was on stack team plus he didn't score touchdown last yr....so you think he is going be superstar???
