Maybe just maybe this guy knows more about football then we thought.first he tells ireland no to orton then no to mccoy.i think thos speaks volumes about who he is.not another guy to sign paychecks.i hope he tells ireland to go for playmakers in fa n the draft

me 2.

i think he's on a better track, learning as he goes.

he seems to be aggressive and proactive for sure - and comes across as extremely committed to winning, even if he had a shakey start.

Why? Because he got the "best of the left-overs"....Homers settling for crap as usual...

My opinion of him has yet to change. It will after we have a winning season. Until then I have to question him keeping Ireland around and striking out with J Fish.

If you mean "the best of the leftovers after a coach with a Dark Ages Run First philosophy, control issues, 6 winning seasons out of 17, 2 playoff wins in the new Millenium and ending up over the last 2 years 3rd and 4th place going 14-18 in a weak division" (thankfully) went elsewhere.....I'd have to vehemently disagree.

Philbin >> Fisher!

Philbins as a 'left-over' is a lot better than Fisher at this point and you guys really gotta come up with new material already.

Will be interesting to see who has a better record after a couple years. My bets on the fins.

Its a little to fast to jump on the Ross bandwagon. Maybe if we get a winning season then ill jump on it, but until then, no. But I do like the Philbin pick up, and i'd like to see him get Flynn, (not RG3!!).

Yeah, I agree it's great that he overrules some of Ireland's decisions. I just wish we had a GM who didn't think they were good decisions in the first place.

Most of the GM's on this board thought Orton to Miami was a good deal.
