im scared of a 07 draft again

in 07 as we all know we passed on patrick willis for ginn. a probowl mlb for a kick returner. and with all the spiller talk on here and ive seen on mock drafts im hopeing we dont make the same mistake and pass on mcclain for spiller. im not saying spiller will just be a kick returner or mcclain will end up like willis but i believe passing on him would be a mistake(if he is still there). ilb is a bigger need and mcclain is one of the smarter defensive players to come out in a long time. he may not be flashy but he gets the job done and hardly misses assignments.
 
I won't be upset if we pass on McClain for Dez Bryant but if we pass on him for anyone else I would be upset
 
Don't worry. Drafting Spiller makes no sense at all and last time I checked Cam isn't coaching the team.
 
I am telling you guys Dez Bryant will make a bigger impact then most of the deffensive players in this at least when the fins pick I dont understand why we cant get bryant and then draft all defense if Bryant is available what is so far wrong with getting a wr or te gresham asnd then get a safety and 3 linebackers and a dt how can this idea be a bad one ?

I don't think anyone on here would mind having Dez Bryant come aboard...
 
Obviously, you haven't watched tape on Spiller. He's a better player than McClain. I still contend that Spikes is a better fit for our system, and there's a decent chance he'll be there in RD 2.

I'm kind of coming around to the idea that Spiller would be a good choice if Bryant is gone. It doesn't solve a pressing need, but he's a great talent with 4.35 speed. I like Jonathan Dwyer too, but #12 seems high. Also, I wouldn't mind picking up Spiller's teammate Jacoby Ford and his 4.35 speed. This team needs playmakers and talent- are we better off drafting a Dan Williams at 12 or a true threat? I really don't know, and I do like Williams quite a bit. #12 remains a mystery to me, but I still like Benn in the 2nd rd and Sean Lee in the 3rd. We hopefully will get a difference maker at #12- we can fill needs with later picks and free agency.

if we trade down in the 1st- how great would it be to pick up a Brandon Spikes or Demaryious Thomas with an extra 2nd rd pick? maybe Jerry Hughes or Brandon Graham, who knows. If Lamar Woodley lasted until the 2nd rd, Graham can, too.

there is NO patrick willis at lb in this years draft.

not even close.
 
I have a feeling that even if Dez Bryant or Mcclain are there at 12 Miami will pass.Management will pull a "Who's that ? " and draft someone that nobody had picked that high.

I just can't shake the feeling that the attributes that set Spiller apart in college aren't going to help him much in the NFL. I don't see him dominating games, but more likely ending up like Reggie Bush or Darren McFadden who were very similar in college.
 
I would be stoked with passing on Mclain if Dez Bryant is there....if Dez is on the board and we pass on him I will be super pissed.

If we go defense I would take Earl Thomas S from texas over mclain as well.
