I've watched every game this year, like all of you, with hope and anticipation.
The last two games have really said alot about the changes/coaching over the bye week. Here's what I like :D Bell at safety has really made a difference and the whole secondary is playing much better. Considering they are all basically new, they are getting with the program that Saban wants to run. ( It took some time, but Saban's scheme seems to be starting to work) Let's see how we do over time in this area. I like what I see with this group.

The front seven seem to be getting better as well, and Taylor is a beast (wished he got that TD against KC). Hope they can hold up over time. Overall, the defense gets better each week and should continue ( see next remarks).

The offense seems to be our biggest negative, but I saw really good things against KC. Ronnie Brown is running very well and will only get better as the season progresses. Thats because the O-line finally seems to have a clue and are playing well. Better run stats and way less penalties are my meters on this group, both of which have improved dramatically.

Joey managed his best game this year against KC, no picks, no fumbles, and had 35 minutes time of possesion. No turnovers are my absolute judge of QB play. Joey threw alot of balls away, because the receivers weren't open, which has been a problem all season. Our receivers aren't getting seperation, especially on the recent out routes run against KC. Joey did well by NOT trying to force it in there, hence his low percentage. I'll take that at this point.

Overall, I think this team is getting better each week, and with the defense playing as good as they are, the offense should catch up quickly. 5-6 after Thanksgiving Day is not far off, and 10-6 is still possible!:dolphins:

KEEP THE FAITH!!!!!!!!!

Very nice post! I agree with everything you've said. The most important thing here is consistency and chemistry with the team regardless of who is playing. You don't need big names, anyone remember the no-name defense? as long as you have good chemsitry and everyone working togethor you will be succesful and you will win games!

Good point on receivers not getting separation... we can sometimes put all the blame on one position.. but i see plenty of talented receivers who are #1s who make adjustments to the ball. Not every QB in the league throws an absolutely perfect pass. receivers have alot to do with it as well. Out offensive problems are shared. No Joey is playing like a backup.. which he is... but the team needs to rally behind him and say.. 'we got your back!" To paraphrase Marshall Faulk on NFL Network.

We are still the same old offense, we only scored 13 points yet again.

The only difference is we arent turning the ball over, and the defense is good enough to win games if the offense doesnt throw them away.

That's what I am talking about...this team can cement it's place in history if they can keep on winning....we believe in this team. :dolphins: :D

moving bell to saftey and shelton to guard have made a big difference. harrington has done a good job of managing the game but i dont see him as our solution at qb. He has a terrible deep pass and misses alot of open guys. I think if we are to be the superbowl caliber team we will need a healthy d culpepper at the helm. Maybe this benching (rehab) will help dc. if not we still need a final solution at qb. but in the mean time harrington is doing ok.

Culpepper will never be the answer at qb and is not going to be any better when his knee is better. Plain and simple he was made look magical when he had Randy and Cris to throw the ball to. Last year he took too many sacks and didn't have the person to just loft a pass to. He's never been a big game player and has always made bad decisions IMO. Harrington has not set the world a blaze this year but he to is new to the system and I don't see why all of the bashing of him. He could be the qb of the future now that he is learning the ropes in Miami...

He looked just as good throwing to other recievers when neither of them were playing. Last year he had no running game, his defense was awful, and he was trying to do everything himself. It wasn't because he didn't have the all-mighty Randy Moss to throw too. Yea, Moss is making the QBs in Oakland look real magical.

And take your big game player and always making bad decision remark and apply it too Joey then, because he is just as bad, if not worse. Or wait, was Joey ever in a big game?

so you are saying all we have to do is get randy moss and culpepper will have a repeat of his second greatest statistical season ever!!!!

The receivers could have done a better job getting separation, but also keep in mind KC has a very good secondary, so I wouldn't beat up on them too much for this game.
