I have to do a better job,
I need to make sure we are on the same page,
I need to get the guys prepared
It starts with me first and foremost.

Anyone else tired of the same excuses?!

I know, I know, what do we expect him to say right? "We suck, our team is average and I don't know how to manage the team"

Odrick is right, Coaches always have the way out.

YOU NEED TO GET THE F**K OUT JOE Philbin.

I don't wish him bad. I believe he's a good person but we need another HC. Philbin could make a good college HC. But what he does won't work in the NFL the way things are now.

I'm not sure what you would expect him to say......

He is taking the blame and deflecting from his players. Ultimately, he is the one who is responsible for both the attitude of the team and their performance on the field.

How many more times do we need to hear this?

“I thought, No. 1, I have to do a better job coaching first and foremost,” Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin said.

He thought? Well that's good you thought AFTER the game you need to do a better job coaching, but we need you to coach better DURING the game. This clown has to go. Taking responsibility for his 22-23 record is what this is ultimately about. In business, and this is a big business, your record as an employee defines who you are. I'm tired of his excuses--his employee record says he has failed. His employee record also says who he is as a coach, under .500, and that record of success would get all of us fired at our jobs. Time to move on Mr. Ross.

I don't think Ross will fire him. I think he will give him one more year.

I honestly don't know what else he could say, and I'm not his biggest fan by any means. He has to stay political and ride that line, even if the team was 0-13 he can't give up on the team to the media and the fans, he can't throw his players under the bus, and he can't make any bold proclamations that we're gonna run the table or something unless he wants to end up looking stupid like Rex. So he's just giving the typical canned answer any NFL coach in his position would. I wouldn't read in to it too much.

He keeps saying that he needs to do a better job however it's obvious that he never does. Talk is worthless if you can't back it up. Time for Ross to do a better job and kick Philbin's butt out the door.

I know its annoying to hear after devastating losses but, really...what do you expect him to say? Hes forced to talk to the media.

Football games aren't won in press conferences. I could care less what his excuses, explanations, or quotes are (unless they are really funny of course). Of all the things to criticize this is a non-issue.

Yup, OP decided to just thumbs down without explaining his silly rational. Needs to buy a dictionary, imo.
