Look, almost every play has a deep wr (Z wr) and typically somewhere to dump the ball whether it be the X wr (flanker), TE, or back. He's just got to find his open wr quicker. That fact that he didnt tells me that he he didnt understand the D he was facing or didnt understand the offense. Its 1 or the other. Unless he likes taking a beating.

Bottom line is that short long or intermediate pass...whatever, the same 5 things always affect AJ; locking on, lack of pocket awareness, holding the ball too long, inability to read/understand D's, and timid in the pocket way too frequently.

first off what are you talking about he had 3 incompletions and 1 sack... let me tell you the incompletions... dropped pass by derrius thompson on a 3rd and long after 2 ineffective runs, perfectly thrown ball... next one was a bad pass to chambers, short route, nothing to say about this... next one was a screen on 3rd down that the defense sniffed out so he just threw it into a linemans back not to lose yards... thats it!! the other 4 passes completions... the rest runs...

when did he not dump the ball off quick enough? the 1 sack were he had to step up to avoid a sack from the LE then got hit sticked by urlacher who himself said he came in untouched?

when was AJ holding on to the ball to long, please tell me, i want to know... pleeeeaaase...

Obviously unless Feeley threw a bomb for a score on every throw..he was gonna get trashed. Im rooting for Feeley..no doubt about it. But if Frerrote is the better so be it...it makes our team better. yet youve been in threads praising frerotte when his TD pass wasnt even where he wanted to throw it...

now feeley makes a nice pass to booker and your saying he didn't pass it soon enough? so you saw what was going on in the secondary too??

this needs a new thread cause your not the only one... saying he sucked last night is the craziest thing ive heard... 2 of his incompletions weren't even his fault, he gets sacked one time from a good rush and its his fault... frerrote got sacked too, yet hes the best at avoiding the rush because a safety whiffed on a sack in the endzone when he was locked onto a reciever more intensily than i think ive ever seen...

ugh i hate this homer feeleyism it seems like im spewing but he gets SUCH an unfair wrap it pisses me off...

Yes it was one game, yes feeley will still get his shot. He was not horrible, he was not good.

But the only time he looked comfy was when he was talking to Steve Young and being interviewed by MF.

He needs to be better in the pocket to win this job, can he do it? Yes, but I have my doubts.

I can't help but think we should have drafted a QB in the 3rd round!

i was in no thread at all praising frerotte for his td. I havent even mentioned gus' play last night other than to say it was pretty good. I never once singled out a play. Im done with you, you cant even differentiate or comprehend anything ive said.

Feeley isn't lost yet. Notice that Saban didn't say he played badly or well - just that "he didn't get enough chances."

Ironically, he'll probably get more chances in the "backup" roll next week.

Jury is still out. I think it's safe to say - though - that Saban will play the player that gives us the best chance to win, no matter what. So whomever he chooses, I'm going to get behind him and hope for hte best.

Actually the thing that made the throw thompson pretty is that it wasnt a bullet. he actually displayed touch something he displayed none of all last year. The way he dumped it over the LB and to thompson was perfect. But he doesnt do it consistantly. he teases with plays like that and reverts to form the next 20 plays. Thats what bothers me. Either do it consistantly or its time to give the next guy a chance. He's not a rookie.

i have no predictions on who will start for us, i never claim to say who is going to be better for us or who is going to be worse... i just wish these people would look at all these things fairly...

when one guy gets dissed for a nice completion, then the next guy throws an accidental TD and gets praised... you HAVE to see something wrong with that...
