I'm Sorry to say but...IF Sparono goes then...

You bring in a coach like Cowher or another big name and that person will
want final say over any moves like Bill does up north.
This would make Ireland nothing more than a figure head/executive imbecile
other wise your big name coaches will not take the job...plan on overpaying
like never before for said coach

Ireland has to go with Tony. We need to hire someone from the Green Bay organization (they seem to get it right a lot in the draft) or Baltimore organization. I'd prefer to stay with the 3-4 since we're been in it for so long and we have most of the pieces there. I'm not opposed to changing to a WCO provided we get the right QB in the draft to run it.

Let's face it though....you build a team around the QB and Ireland has avoided drafting a QB, for the purpose of playing QB and not the wildcat, since Henne even when it looked like Henne wasn't the answer. And while Henne has played somewhat better...he's still not the answer. You can't avoid the most important position on the team and continue to use first round picks on O-line and D-line.

It starts at the top. The Fins need to hire a President who will hire a GM and coach. Ross is just as clueless as Ireland and Sparano making it a crap shoot that Ross will get it right. He needs to sell the team to someone who actually understands football and how it operates. It's not a toy and needs to stop being run like it is.

I disagree. One of the main reasons outside of **** game/clock management and player preparation is the lack of talent and depth in several key areas, including 2 that appeared to be high priority when this regime took over: offensive line and secondary. It looks like we've actually managed to regress in these areas under Ireland and he hasn't made any PROACTIVE attempts to fix them.

Further, he clearly doesn't put QB as a very high priority, when in fact it's the highest! Can you imagine if we do godawful the rest of the season and are in position to draft Andrew Luck...and Ireland is in charge of the draft? Even if Henne continues to do decent the rest of the year (sorry, I don't think he did well this game, mediocre at best), you don't pass on Luck (or any QB for that matter; mediocre, below average QB's don't cut it). Watching Ireland in that position during the draft would be like watching Cleo Lemon drop back to pass. Impending sense of doom.

Ireland and Nolan are safe, Ross loves both of them. Tony is out, my guess is Ross will go after Gruden because he would probably be more willing to work with Nolan and Jeff.

I wouldn't be surprised if he stays. This roster is much better than the product on the field. There is no excuse for how this defense is playing.

To me, if it came down to firing Ireland OR Sparano, I'd fire Ireland 100 times out of 100. Sparano sucks, no question, but he can only coach the talent that Ireland drafts for him. And that "safe-pick" idiot has refused to draft us a franchise quarterback, and gets his panties wet over cornfed players. Ireland needs to go, and he needs to go soon.

It did come out that Ireland wanted Matt Ryan and Tuna wanted Jake Long, so take it for what its worth. Ireland in my mind has only had full control over one draft class by himself and no influence from Bill.
