I'm Still Proud To Be A Dolphins Fan!

I grew up in WPB and lived for Sundays at the Orange Bowl! I have been a fan for all of my 38 years, just like my parents & grandparents. I have moved all over the country with my work but proudly wear my Dolphins gear regardless of where I am. I catch some crap every once in a while but also run into some other Fin fans which is cool. I will tell you what burns my a$$ up though, is fair weather fans whose favorite team is whoever is winning. I worked with a guy recently who was from Chicago but said that he had four favorite teams...Chicago, Green Bay, New England, and NY Jets. WTF?!?!?! How in the heck does that work? This guy actually had the nerve to rag me when NE beat us in week 1. I told him, quite sarcastically, that it must be a whole lot easier to just pick 4 of the best teams to like each year rather than sticking, loyally, with one team regardless of how good they are at the time. It should not surprise you to find out that the guy and his company screwed me on my contract...you can tell a lot about a person by how they regard sports and their loyalty to teams!
 
I am taking my daughter to Chuck E. Cheese tomorrow night, damn off subject and irrelevant... oh nevermind, right place.
 
I feel u. But they are still playing like garbage once again.

Well said! It's a tough time but we have to keep the faith. Regimes & players come & go, but the team is always there.
 
I'm personally embarrassed to be at this point, but I will still root and follow. Things are cyclical and they'll get it right, hopefully before I die. :)
 
I don't know if I am "proud" to be a Dolphin fan right now, but I am a diehard fan for life and will watch every game from start to finish as always.

This mess will get turned around at some point. Do not know when, but it will eventually.

I made this thread simply to express my loyalty to the team amidst other fans jumping ship. If you don't like it then why did you choose to open it, read it, then post a couple times? The board is here and freedom of speech is what it is - a good thing.

You also have freedom of choice - you can choose not to read if you like.

I am from NJ and proud as hell to be a PHIN Fan and the Giant and Jest fans will find out in a few weeks as well!

Sure. It just gets a little tiresome trying to wade through all the personal opinions for a nugget of useful information here and there. Maybe there can be a separate "Personal Opinion Forum" for all that.
 
I feel the same way, I repped my jersey hard in 07 and caught respect a year later. Now its back to 07 lol

07 was a bad year, the Heat were like 15-67 that year. At least us hometown fans that like other sports, can enjoy the heat.

Me too buddy. Miami is not my home town but I still bleed aqua and orange and will always love the Fins. I live in CT...and take plenty of crap from Pats, Jets, and Bills fans but I'm still proud to be a Dolphins fan. I will be making my once a year appearance at a home game...I'm still not sure which game yet...but I will be down there going nutz and cheering the Fins on!!!
