think about what the passing attack couldve been if we had Keller all year and Gibson had not gotten hurt. Wallace, Hartline, Gibson, Keller and clay. I know injuries happen to every team these 2 injuries were bad for us. Clay has stepped up big, I love the way he's playing. Keller would've been a nice weapon for Tanny too, he was sanchez's security blanket. Gibson was playing good and had good chemistry with tannehill and moved the chains with yac.

I still think the offense has performed fairly well considering all thestuff that's gone wrong this year. injuries, martin, all the sacks etc.

Maybe if Keller is around, Clay does not emerge? Funny how guys step up when called upon.

I was thinking about this the other day, but injuries happen. Good teams need depth.

I know I thought of that but now that we know how clay can line up all over the place an addition of a true seam threat tight end would be huge

It sucks that Keller and Gibson went down. Keller would've been the seam threat that we don't have. It would've been awesome having him and Clay on the field at the same time. I hope Keller recovers well and we re-sign him. Gibson had to learn the slot and was really coming into his own when he went down and don't forget about Armon Binns, who the team was high on and went down in preseason. With the emergence of Clay and Matthews, we suddenly have a lot of weapons!!

I'm just excited for next season. More free agents (the DL is expendable with our depth). The O-Line will get solidified. Wallace, Hartline, Gibson, and Matthews in a 4 WR set (and Clay at TE)??? Yes please.

everyone! lets not forget armon binns too. he was tannehills favorite target during the offseason workouts! such a shame we lost so many playmakers.

what they need most is just plain stability so that Philbin and company can continue to develop players.

I'm most excited about Gibson: he and Tanny got onto the same wavelength pretty quickly as he developed into his "go to" guy. Before that, with the Rams, wasn't he, if not the leader, then one of the league leaders in successful 3rd down receptions? We lost a lot when he went down. As far as Keller detracting from Clay, I don't see that as we can either run a Gronk/Hernandez TE set with them, or put Egnew or Sims in for blocking assignments and set Clay up as the FB. With Keller, Clay, Hartline, Wallace, Gibson, Matthews, maybe Binns who looked good too and either Egnew or Sims as a blocker and outlet receiver, IMO if we retain McKinnie, Brenner and Jerry improve, and pick up a few OL studs, we could be a real offensive force to contend with.

Binns was actually waived injured

You can really see the possible potential if they stay mostly healthy...but that's always a big if, especially with the new lets dive at the knee plays on defense cause of the rule change.

Does anyone have an update on Keller and his injury situation? He got taken out on that cheap hit by the Texans just like Gronk got it this past weekend. I won't be shocked if we see more of these injuries, until the Commish changes his huge fines policy for helmet to helmet hits. At least with a concussion, you can get back after a few games, and not miss the entire season, but continually concussions can certainly shorten you NFL career, and turn you brain to mush later in life. Here in Colorado, some people are speculating that Welker could be retiring because of all the concussions he has had.

Talk is starting of having a strike zone to hit. Above the knees, below the neck.
