My opinon is that we do not... If we can get the right nasty:tantrum: personel into our O-Line either through the draft or throught FA then a late round QB can be made to look like a first rounder... What are your thaughts...???:dolphins:

Look, I love an O-line as much as the next guy. But I prefer to get a young QB the first (or next) chance we get in the draft, first round or later round.

I agree with you. With the top 3 QB's probably gone by the time we pick, I'd love for us to go OT or DB.

We need a young QB and Saban will get us one.I don't think he's gonna reach for one but he'll take a QB at some point.

Ozzy rules!!

if cutler isnt available then no we dont need to draft a qb in the 1st rd. i say get a OL or secondary, like that clemson cornerback, and then trade madison and miami's 2nd rd pick to trade up with like the raiders for their 2nd rd pick and a 6th rd pick so miami then can get croyle.

I disagree. That's the mindset we've had since Marino retired. We've been looking for a caretaker QB and as a result we've been unsuccessful in the big games. FA and late round QBs are longshots, much, much longershots than 1st rd QBs.

I do believe that a Great O-line can make a bad QB look good, a good QB look great, and a great QB a HOFer. But I wouldn't want to rely on that if I had a choice.

If Cutler is on the board, we wont (Unless Saban is an idiot) pass on him. It looks unlikely that he will be there though...

Exactly

We have a better o-line coach than we do a Qb coach,

So I say we draft a QB earlier on if we can

if we can get cutler then we go after him....but i dont think saban will trade up to get him......saban's philosophy is to aquire picks.....we have 9 picks this year, with one already being mannu wright in the 5th

if cutler aint there i say we go for O-line or defense.....michael huff is a guy i like alot...

whitehurst aint looking bad right now

I'd say we have to get a QB in the first 2 rounds, either Cutler in the 1st or Croyle in the 2nd. IMO they are both obtainable and less of projects than guys like Whitehurst.

I cannot disagree with that. I think everyone on our team becomes that much better with a dominating OL. Just look at the Seahawks. Every good HC in football knows that it all starts with a great OL.
