i know some will not agree with me, but this is my list of players that need to stay in a dolphin uni, and be the foundation to build on for the next regime.

QB: start over noone is worth keeping

RB: Daniel Thomas, get something for reggie even tho it wont be much. draft another or fa's

FB: Clay even tho he is a TE imo.

WR: Bess (one of the best slot players int he game if he has qb actually throw to him), Hartline is a decent #4,#5. Gates see how he grows in his 2nd year (not giving up on him, someone with half a brain will figure out how to use him and his speed), Marshall would be good to have around for the next qb if he lives up to his potential (big word potential, could be top 5 if he got his head out of his butt) or use him as trade bait.

TE: Fasano im on the fence with, would be a good #2 imo def need to upgrade

OL: Long, Pouncy; nothing else needs to be said

DL: Starks, and i would actually keep odrick. everyone else can walk

LB: wake (isnt having a great year, and thats due to nobody else getting pass rush so olines can key on just him now, and if we switched to a 4-3 with a new regime he would just go back to de), Dansby (hey def hast lived up to the hype but he isnt awful ether)

CB: Vontae, Wilson (should be saftey imo and will probly move there with a new regime, lots of potential), i would actually keep smith for depth, but can be easily replaced.

FS/SS: def need a new group of safties

K: Carpenter is starting to be too inconsistant, but if he is kept i wouldnt be pissed or happy

P: def keep fields he is a top punter imo opinion

so those are the players i think sould be kept for the new regime. what do you guys think? i think this regime is just to stupid, and pick favorites (ex cowboys) to realize some players potential, or how to play them to their strengths. like walden; he was a decent fill in guy for is, but tony and jeff cut him not once but twice, now he has a superbowl ring, played a good amount on that d, and even starts for GB some times. thats just an example, but we never know what we truely would have personnel wise due to poor personel decesions (every excowboy), or what this team could be because this coaching staff doesnt play players to their strengths.
i truely cannot wait for this season to be over just for the fact i know the coaching staff, or the front office is going to screw us in the long run somehow. im just ready to start over, and get this thing fixed. ok im done ranting

You and Carl Peterson should keep our feet firmly planed in the ground, right where we are 4th in the AFC East.

If you would keep Odrick and let Langford go...I'm done reading what you have to say...

We won't see the roster get blown up like we saw when this regime entered. I think we have some talent on the team an I know this team isn't as horrible as it was when the trifecta was brought in. I just don't think we will be able to go into FA and the draft and fill as many positions as you predict.

In 08, we flipped about 50% of the roster, got a competent QB and orchestrated the greatest turnaround in NFL history. IMO, the present roster, although presently lacking the cohesion, heart and coaching, is considerably more talented and capable of being coached-up, so I see no need to gut it to the bone.

srry bro but langford hasn't done shiittt

As someone else has been saying on here lately, "those that don't get it, will never get it."

So, no point in arguing about it...I flat disagree...

theses are just some of the players i think we have to keep. im not saying dump everyone;i just think this is the foundation

Time to flip the defense to a 4-3. They need 4 down linemen and more athleticism at LB. They have got to find a legitimate FS with the second pick so they'll have a QB on both sides of the ball. TE, TE, TE, TE. That can't be stressed enough. This crap settling with Fasano is nauseating. If you think about it every corps on this team needs to be upgraded. I would not be at all surprised if we see 20+ on the current roster gone before TC 2012.

Scheme will dictate the personnel. The scheme's or lack of and personnel we have now are an obvious failure.

Guys I'd keep... Long, Pouncey, Fasano, Bess, Hartline, Marshall, Gates, Daniel Thomas, Charles Clay, Langford, Starks, Dansby, Wake, Davis, Smith, Clemens, J Wilson, Fields, Carpenter

I know a lot of you won't agree with keeping Smith but if you think it would be easy to just find a better starting CB to replace him then you're sorely mistaken. I'd love to upgrade that position but even if I do I'd like to have Smith around for depth. I'm also keeping Clemens for depth as I think he'd be a good backup. Hartline is my #4 WR, Fasano my #2 TE, Gates I keep around just because he's the only WR with any speed but if he looks like just a track star with no WR skills I don't keep him around long. So lets see... that's 17 players on offense/defense and 6 of them are preferably backups, OUCH.
