Smith needs to be replaced by McIntosh, this should be a huge upgrade. Jeno James is fine. We have no one to replace McKinney with so he stays. Whitley is replaced by St. Claire that guy is too big to be playing tackle, he is built to be a guard. And Carey needs to start at tackle. I think those changes right there would make a difference. Hell at this point its worth a shot. But Wade "Turnstile" Smith has got to be put on the bench for sure.

I think all this is correct, but I think you'll see Hadnot at RG with St. Clair on the bench.

a seventh round rookie for a veteran...i guess it can't be too much worse

Was St. Clair that bad? I know W Smith was.:fire: McKinney seemed O.K.

Something has to change, for about two to three series, the OL was the worst I have EVER seen in this league. They isolated on Smith a couple of times, and it was comical, it looked like he was playing pattycake. I agree, get Carey and Mac in there. This line as currently constructed, is even worse than last years. Unbelievable.

He wasen't as bad as Smith, we just need someone faster on the end.

I think that would be a great change....I agree with the Smith change.... that is our best revolving door we have....he needs to sit the bench....Did anyone notice the look on Smiths face, he looked like he didn't even care.... Look at the way Mcmike reacted after one of the series....theres no fire in that oline....they need to be lit up by Wise....

Smith-James-McKinney-Whitley-Carey

gotta mix it up this week.

StClair and Smith dont deserve playing time next week. Smith DEFINATELY does not. StClair wasnt THAT bad, but he was still poor.

We need Hadnot in there just because of his attitude. We need some toughness on that line. McIntosh, Hadnot, and Carey would change the line's mentality a LOT. Right now we have "welcome mats" in there.

I get McIntosh. I get Hadnot simply because he at least has some fire. Why do you guys assume that Carey is any better than when he lost the job to St. Clair, though?

I'm not so sure OT D. McIntosh is any better than OT W. Smith.....

Even is he is better, he's not what I would consider a huge upgrade.....

Unfortunately, the Phinz OL woes go much further than just one player. The outside, the inside, the whole OL looks horrible at this stage. The players aren't blocking, and even when they do, they can't hold their blocks long enough for anything to develope....

This is going to be a long, painful process to watch unless changes are made. I think we should do the following....

Bring back Ruddy and Perry ASAP. Bench McKinney and Whitely. Go wth this OL....

LT - D. McIntosh
LG - J. James
C - T. Ruddy
RG - T. Perry
RT - J. St. Clair

We need some experience up front. It's obvious that McKinney and Whitely aren't ready to take over in the middle yet. Neither have the size or strength to handle starting in the NFL IMO....

PHINZ RULE!!! :fire:

Mcintosh james hagnot st.clair Carey---That is who should start next game.

Well, one would assume Miami had their best 5 on the field. Scary thought.
The problem is that there is not one lineman, as far as I can see, that is really holding up his end. That makes the issue of where to send help impossible. Miami really cannot slant the protection one way or the other like other teams do because the breakdowns are across the front. In addition, the oppostion has no fear that Miami can exploit any biltz packages even if they are picked up. Some of the corner blitzes Cincy ran screamed for hot exploitation by use of in-route adjustments and audibles;things that seem to be missing from the offensive plan. As I said, an impossible situation and one that defies easy answer except blind hope that things improve.

We definately need a change at O-LINE. And as far as didn't look like they care how about MARTY BOOKER...To me it looks like his heart is still in CHICAGO...

why are you guys busting McKinney's balls??? He was the best on the OL last night.

this ball massaging of James all the time isn't fair either. Half the games he has played in preseason and regular season have been less than stellar, but he always gets the "he's OK and will be the least of our worries over the year" excuse.
