I keep hearing we need to draft an impact player at #9, as best I can tell there are 4 pos that to me qualify as impact players.
QB...RB...Pass Rusher(DE/LB) Ball Hawk(CB/S)

As for our phins the RB is in place w have two dominate pass rushers and no ball hawks which is why a L.Landry seems interesting.

Give me some other names of guys you would feel are "impact" players

Every single position can be an impact player.

Every single offensive lineman is an impact player. If one makes a poor block it doesn't matter who your QB or RB is.

The Receivers are impact players obviously along with the QB and RB's.

Corners can make plays that change a game as do safeties. Linebackers with better skill sets make bigger plays. The defensive line needs to dominate the trenches.

Kickers and Punters have a huge impact also just not enough to ever spend a first day pick on one.

I think it comes down to who the best player on the board is and whether we need help at that position.

Levi Brown, Landy, Nelson, Quinn (I doubt he will be there), and many more. Personally I like Levi Brown but it seems like Houck likes Alabi to play LT...so we will see.

The positions you say qualify as impact positions are glamour positions. Any position can have an impact player. Levi Brown can be that type for us at OT. Justin Blaylock could be an impact player at OG.

I like Laron Landry but I don't think he's a ballhawk. I see him more of the Troy Palamalu type rather than a Ed Reed type. Landry has some of the best hits I've seen from a safety last year.
