LaDanian Tomlinson - 38 Carries / 124 Yards / 3.3 Yard Average

Ronnie Brown - 34 Carries / 92 Yards / 2.7 Yard Average

Not bad company for a rookie with arguably the worst line in football. Do these guys suck too? Are they busts?

I am a huge Ronnie Brown supporter and I will be the first to say that he is not playing like Ronnie Brown. He is playing like a rookie who recieved his first NFL carry less than a month ago. He is playing like a rookie who missed most of training camp.

The bottom line is that he is not comfortable enough with the system yet to play the position without thinking. This kid has skills that Carnell Williams only dreams he could have. This kid is capable of carrying the Miami Dolphins for years to come. But, he is going to need some time to acclimate to the system and to the speed.

Yall need to chill and see the big picture. Think before you post. Yall are killin this great dolphins site. Its becoming depressing to come here.

Wait wait, You are trying to talk sense into Ronnie bashers? :rofl4: :grouplaug :sidelol: :laughat:

Great point my man. GREAT point.

It's so easy to just whip out the comparisons immediately just because Cadillac had a great couple of games. Except he happens to be LEADING THE NFC in rushing at the moment. Is Cadillac always going to lead the NFC in rushing? No, probably not. Are guys like Dillon, McAllister, Martin, Tomlinson, Lewis, and Jones going to stay in the doldrums of where they currently are? No, probably not. So why does everyone pretend like Cadillac is always going to be where he is and Ronnie is always going to be where he is?

Great post -- thanks a lot for your research on that. I think most of these guys (myself included at times) are just sick of being mediocre (or even horrible like last year) and want Ronnie to rescue us from it QUICK.

the point everyone is also missing about Cadillac is that he did nothing in his first game until he broke that 71 yarder. he was like 22 carries for 63 yards. He then doubles his stats in one carry, and boosts his confidence ten fold.

Ronnie'll get there. He missed a lot of camp, the game is still fast for him, and he needs that confidence boost that should come with a decent gain.

He needs time.. for god sake we, the fans, need to give it to him! Its bad enough that he is already getting negative national coverage.

I disagree with discounting Cadillac's 71 yard runs. Great running backs make big plays. Caddy made a big play. It should never be discounted or taken away from him.

But obviously the Bucs had some things going with Caddy that we did not with Ronnie...and that all these great backs did not have going with their respective teams.

i'm not taking it away from him.. i'm just pointing out that it majorly fattened his stats in his first game (which is why everyone is beating up on Ronnie, his stats look bad), and gave him a huge 'welcome to the NFL' boost, that Ronnie has not had.

I dont think the confidence boost from that run can be understated.

Kinda funny that I was doing the same research earlier today and got side tracked, but I'm glad you did it now so I dont have to, Thanks. GOOD INFO.
