In a blink of an eye, we go from a potentially bright future, to a laughing stock.

I thought you were referring to a laughing stock from yesterday to today.

We were a laughing stock to end the 2011 season, then we had a bright future seemingly for a few weeks this offseason, and in ONE day it goes from that back to laughing stock.. and some fans have the b*lls to say Wayne was a bad owner! HA..
i mean i think towards the end of the 2011 season, although 6-10 blows, the way we played, we were not a laughing stock anymore, just a bad team. However, with some promising pieces on offense, a good defense, a new coaching staff, the other 2 teams in turmoil in our division, you would think maybe things are looking up for the fins.

now, we are the laughing stock of our division. i cant even imagine manning wanting to come here anymore, it would make zero sense for him to do so for his sake. lets see, Fitzgerald, or bess/hartline? geez, i wonder.

it just sucks because it was so unexpected.

since it was real nice outside today, i was just chilling with a bunch of friends outside, enjoying the day, and at 4 pm i decide to go inside again and check the latest free agent stuff. i turn my tv on, and i see this garbage and i almost fainted. like seriously, was this a joke?

you would think we would have heard rumblings of this potentially happening since nothing these days is a secret, but it just happened. a quiet day turned into disaster in dolphin nation. doomsday scenario has occurred

I know.. Im just saying I cannot believe how we can go from brightness to total and complete destruction and darkness in a 24 hour period. This is something, we as Dolphins fans, have never experienced before. Not destruction this fast.

Although.. we should all be accustomed to this.. EVERY year Ross says he is going to do this and that to make the team better... and.... every year same god dam story! I wish to god Wayne never sold this team. Ross must have been born into his money, because he is not a good businessman in the least.

I really don't understand. It seems like a child can who plays madden all day can run this team better than our FO. Why does this happen to us? Why does it always come to **** over night? People complain about Marshall dropping the ball but at least he got opened with his strength thirty yards down the field. No disrespect to hartline and bess, but come guys really? Marshall was a huge decoy as well. Major major loss this year. I too was excited about this upcoming season but now I once again fear I won't be buying madden anytime soon. Nor will I be driving down to see a game. Unless we trade up and get Blackmon and sign manning. Honestly I don't even think that is enough at this point. Idk maybe philbin can help us. Maybe he is the next Bilicheck. IDK may he could be the next Cam Cameron. I am to upset to continue atm. Really really upsetting.

I mean there is nothing I could think of to get this team back up to where it could of been this next year. Honestly I feel we should raid the complex and just run things ourselves guys. Seriously at least we would have plausible reasons and assumptions on why we did these things. This is disgraceful to us dolphin fans. We pay to watch what........A circus. That is all.

So positive before this day even earlier but this trade and FA signings has totally ruined a lot for me today. It may sound sad to guys that some one could be so upset but you not. Im a dolphin fan.... you should be upset too.
agreed 100 percent

its funny, their were threads earlier in the evening on here after the trade by some people, saying how they were happy marshall was gone, no more of these dropped ball, etc. what fools.

yes marshall deff had his drops, some of them inexcusable, but he makes up for that by his big play ability. roddy white also drops tons of balls, does that mean atl would be better off without him? Owens dropped plenty of balls in his day, does that mean he stunk?

this is just so incomprehensible, im hoping this is a nightmare and i wake up and marshall still is on our team.

dude, when did i say we were good last year? i acknowledged we were bad last year.

all i said was despite being bad, their seemed to possibly be a glimmer of hope with some promising play towards the end of the year, new coaching staff, 2 studs on offense in bush and marshall, possibly adding peyton manning, our 2 division rivals in turmoil, and now we in a blink of an eye erase any small hope we had this season and barring a sudden change, it seems we are destined for barkley in 2013, although our sched is real easy next year, so who knows.

its just so frustrating, teams dont trade away this type of talent in their prime for a bag of potato chips. that is what we just did today.

Seriously. All we had to do was get a free agent qb, draft a right tackle at 8 and we're looking pretty damn good next year. Instead we gave away Brandon Marshall, one of our key pieces, for some future busts. And we still don't have that qb upgrade.

In the looking promising...Seriously we beat ****ty teams.Theres a reason we had the "6th ranked defense"that people(not you)have stated on this board. Our defense LOOKED good because we played ****ty teams.

In some of eyes it wasnt promising...We had some big holes to fill that people cant see...We were strapped with cash because we got some overated and wayoverpaid players. We couldnt get Harbaugh when we offer him 2 mill more /year.

im starting to really worry about the philbin hire and scared of this years draft

Im probably not the 1st person here that said it but it wasnt good. The guy didnt call plays for them....Basically this guy was our 4th or 5th option going back to Harbaugh.

Table scraps.

I thought we have been the laughing stock ever since Dan Marino retired and we draft Jamar Fletcher CB while Drew Brees was still on the board. We have been crap ever since. Remember that! We need a QB and Philbin will correct the dumb things we have done for the last ten years.

How much leverage would a rookie head coach have in a battle against the GM? If Ireland's plan was to jettison BM, chances are pretty good Philbin never had a chance. Or maybe they both agreed. Who the f**k knows?

I'll tell you this, I'm not sure what to expect at this point.
