Who do you see we pick up this year and who do you see we release this year? who do you see we trade? Also to help us pick up a Leinart as a possiblity.

as for who we pick up, who really knows. who we'll release? howard, boston, moore. trading, who knows.
 
yea i noticed i think cuz of the words i used and i used em a numurous times. I see howard, boston, and moore as a for sure thing. our Center should be released as well.

Boston only has a 1 year contract so we wont have to release him, but I would like to bring him back.

Only if he is fit--The damn guy promises so much, and then he gets injured.
 
John Abraham.....we must sign him....I know i will get killed for this....but imagine...Taylor and Abraham....with Traylor...and Holiday...my oh my...what a front four....absolutely devastating....and this defense will just help our offense out....getting the ball back quicker....more opportunities....and it will help hide the lack of coverage our cb's might be getting......John Abraham should be FA priority #1.

We already have Carter so why wouldn't you want a CB instead. You already said that CB is a concern. I am not knocking you, I just want to know the logic behind your pick.
 
Well...im talking about Free Agency.....and Abraham would allow the defense to just tee off like crazy....do you double team? and who do you double team? Abraham is a difference maker just as much as Taylor....and both on the same team....would be precious. CB can be addressed during the draft.....I figure the next 2 drafts Saban will have first hand knowledge of most players....then after that...he will have to really start scouting....so we have a edge in the draft I think. I know not much logic....but Taylor and Abraham on the same team......would be good news for both sides of the ball.

Yes, as fun as it would be to watch JT with Abraham, Traylor, Carter, etc., and the fact they are aging so the more help the better, it is betetr to fix the secondary than to try to cover it up with an even better front.

I agree that Abraham would make a big difference, he is a playmaker thats for sure. And like you I look to the future drafts to secure our dynasty. in fact i think i said that it would take 3 drafts before we would be SB contenders. But I still think that we desperately need a CB to stop the rot,

where do we get him? Free Agency or Draft? the CB....I mean Daniels reminds me of a young Surtain....soaking up all the knowledge around him.....and I like it. Kind of a Troy Vincent mold....playing bigger than he is....
 
The next couple drafts are going to be solid at CB, plus we've got Poole coming back next year. If I were to make a guess about free agency, we'd only go after DBs if a definite impact player became available. Otherwise, we'd probably look for help on the o-line (even though they are improving), d-line and at LB (and dont be surprised if we nab Ben Leber from San Diego...his attributes make him look like a Saban-style LB). As for QB and WR, I still think we'll be doing more in the draft than in free agency (though we might make a play for Reggie Wayne). It takes a year for a QB to really learn this offense, so (I hate to say it, but...) Frerotte will most likely start for us one more year while we groom a rookie behind him.
