The down fall of miami has definitely been their drafting. There has been many dumb picks. lets hope they stop.
 
WOW when you show what guys we could have drafted we are horrible. Thank the lord we have some knew player personel guys in the front office. That put a whole new perspective on how bad we have been at picking players. The most notable for me was ******* Allen over Cromartie Addai and Maroney. Talk about retarded!

Wanny really ****ed this franchise.

3 drafts and all we have to show for it now is a 2nd round pick from SD for Chambers and hopefully Y. Bell will be back.
 
Wanny is the guy that set this franchise backward.

The story I heard is the he over-ruled everybody and picked Eddie Moore over A. Boldin.
Just look at his draft history.

Look again..That isn't even near the worst.
 
It's really easy to look back in hindsight at anything. If everyone had better personnel guys then Anquan Boldin would never have made it in to the second round, much less be drafted in the second by the same team that took Bryant Johnson in the first.

Robert Gallery wouldn't have been drafted as high as he was. Think the Chargers made the right move with Leaf over Manning? There are so many busts...most years about 15-20% of the first round doesn't amount to much of anything, and anything past the second, the numbers are negligible.

Allen over Cromartie was a questionable move, but Allen seems to be working out. You can't question the pick of Ronnie Brown though. We needed him, and he is a premier RB. The single WORST move was Eddie Moore. There is no escaping that one, ever. Especially when we DID need a receiver and Anquan Boldin was on the board.

I will say this...I look at a team like the Browns and how quickly they turned around their fortunes. Think about their scouting. They went from squandering picks on Tim Couch, William Green, Courtney Brown, and Gerard Warren to drafting guys like Kellen Winslow, Braylon Edwards, Kamerion Wimbley, Joe Thomas, Eric Wright, and Brady Quinn and it really turned around their franchise. Bringing in Derek Anderson wasn't a bad move either (although I'm not even sure that they knew what they had there).

A new regime in the FO can make a huge difference.

It could have been worse, believe it or not. Remember had the Eagles not picked Freddie Mithchell the very pick before us, the bow tie wearing "flashy" WR would have played in a Dolphin uniform. Although he probly wouldnt be on the team still also. :sidelol:

You can't judge that pick yet. They've only completed two years. Give it a third.
