It's hard for me to grasp why anyone is OK with giving Gase more time.

I understand the down side to a coaching change with respect to consistency, but consistently bad is no way to go either.

One poster admitted to his penchant for making bad decisions, then stated he wanted to keep him.
 
No. Time to move on. For me it was the first NE game. Every reason in the world to show up and fight their heart out. The injury bug hadn't bit too bad yet. Finally show the league the Dolphins were to be respected. Not saying it had to be a win, but don't show up completely soft and submissive. That's when I knew he was not the coach to bring the Dolphins back to prominence.
 
I'm sorry, there's just nothing jumping out to me as to why keeping Gase would be beneficial.
