Do you guys feel that his contract is worth it considering the year he is having this year? I think so, but last year I was pretty pissed because he didn't do anything.

It's funny that what we all thought was an awful signing by Cam and Mueller turned out to be one of the best players on Bill Parcell's team.

Coaching is about swallowing pride and putting in the best players on the field and make them work at what they do best.

We didn't run the 3-4 last year. He was used to the 3-4 from Pittsburgh so it makes sense when a new coach comes in and runs the 3-4 he would accel at what he knows.

I dont get how ppl say that HE didnt do anything.. he had a dec season last year, but 1 they didnt even blitz him ever and 2 our whole team didnt do anything so you cant blame him

Well, in all fairness, last year he was not being used in the position that was best suited for him. This year he is back to playing in the scheme that he has had so much success in the past.

Was a great signing last year, I was only worried that people thought he was washed up, but I thought he had a pretty decent year last year. One of our best defender towards the end . . .just was hard to justify 20 million guaranteed on a rebuilding team that went 1-15.

Now that he is back to his old position from the Steeler days . . . it almost looks like a steal for this team. The leadership and swag he has brought to this team can't be counted in dollars, the team sees him back up his talk every week, and he works as hard as anybody in the NFL. Peezy is the real deal.

JP did the same thing last year. He was one of 2-3 players that gave 111110000% every single snap when he was on the field. He played well down towards the end of the season once he got over the injury and ajustment to new defense he was in.
So to answer the question YES he is worth it. He leads the NFL in sacks and is giving us a true edge rusher that people game plan against.

This is an obvious question. Obviously he was worth it, and we just needed to make some change to accommodate our defense according to the players we had like we are doing now, for our defense to work 10 times better.

just imagine if we still had JT playing on the other side.... don't get me wrong the front office did the right thing in trading him because he didn't want to play here anymore, but just imagine the terror in the eyes of the QB's and the ofensive coordinator's of the other teams... oh well, just dreaming.... don't mind me, JP is tearing it up this year and i hope he continues for the remainder of his contract.

He's leading the league in sacks, he has already surpassed his previous sack high. He's an emotional & vocal leader that brings his A game week in & week out. He makes everyone around him play better. Who knows what are record would be if we didn't have him.

Yeah, i think he was well worth the money.
