...we could very, very easily be playing for first place in the division. If Indy takes out NE tonight, all 4 division teams will be within a game.
Week 10:
SEA @ MIA
BUF @ NE
STL @ NYJ
Miami and NYJ should win their games. Only God knows what happens in the NE/BUF game...I suspect NE can hold off BUF at home. So...
NE: 6-3
NYJ: 6-3
MIA: 5-4
BUF: 5-4
Week 11:
NYJ @ NE
OAK @ MIA
CLE @ BUF
Again, I believe NE holds at home. Miami should hold off Oakland (they looked positively awful today), and let's say for the sake of keeping it semi-unbiased Buffalo takes out Cleveland. So....
NE: 7-3
NYJ: 6-4
MIA: 6-4
BUF: 6-4
Week 12
BUF @ KC
NYJ @ TEN
NE @ MIA
Again, let's say Buffalo wins in KC. I do not believe the Jets will win in Tennessee. SO...if Miami can beat New England, in Miami...the division will look like this.
MIA: 7-4
BUF: 7-4
NE: 7-4
NYJ: 6-5
Miami would hold tiebreakers over both NE and BUF...and would technically be in first place.
I'd say it's nice to dream, but...am I crazy, or does this seem perfectly plausible?
