The FO might not have any other option in the grand scheme of things, but in the short term, it will have a negative impact on the team.
 
You both are right. Last two post are dead on. This front office has always seemed gutless. Ireland's always come off as a weasel.

Name one FO that wouldn't have done the same. This is the absurd PC world we live in. Our society (through the manipulation of the government and media) has become an Orwellian nightmare.

I agree and NCFinFan13 makes a good point but I think it goes further than that. This is a stand for the NFL. Men being men, players being players have to have the ability to not *****foot around each other. The league cannot let a babychild take hold of the culture embraced by 1500 men around the league year after year. The Fins have to take a stand behind a rightfully innocent player now even though the short term backlash might suck.
 
If we cut him there WILL be teams trying to sign him to play RG for their playoff run. We will look stupid again, getting nothing for a tough OG I put OG because we play him out of position. Anyways once he's found not to be a bully by Ted Wells and Company I sure hope the fins have the stones to keep him and make him do sensitivity training presented to the team and maybe incoming rookies at rookie symposiums. Seems fair and just. He will play and he will get embraced by whichever team he plays for when he does.
 
It was plain to see in Ross' face when he gave his interview that he wants him gone already but was advised to wait it out as a legal precaution. The call won't be from the the front office it will be from Ross. Ritchie is a dead man walking in Miami and he knows it. Don't worry, we will see him twice a year in New England.:(
 
Was there any reports of a women getting molested? Maybe Richie has finally grown up

This is about Martin, and how he handled the situation outside of the team. Stop trying to flip this into a political liberal-bashing sesh. It's getting so old.

Really? Do you watch the news outside of sports? Evidently NOT. Perhaps some of us are sick and tired of seeing people's careers threatened or ruined based on public perception, which is largely manipulated by the media (the new thought police). You know, the so called enlightened and tolerant liberal ones. Perhaps your silly, misanthropic ideology is getting old.
