Incognito held OL meetings at Strip Clubs

The Vegas trip....

Player get fined throughout the year and that money is used for various activities at the end of the season that they do as a group...could be a trip or party or something else.

As far as why Cog fined them, Don't know....maybe he wanted them all to hang out more together to build up the fraternity...

Yea hang out so he could use their money to make it rain and make them buy his drinks.....

and I know all about writing off business expenses and I am pretty sure Cog's didn't call this a meeting for that purpose considering he couldn't claim it as such......

You can definitely claim it as such. All you have to do is discuss ANYTHING related to your work with someone you work with and you can write the dinner or activity off, as long as you don't go totally overboard all the time.

Anyway, apparently Richie should have been setting up tea time with the City of Davie Women's Garden Club.

Would you trust giving your hard earned money to Richie so he could do the right thing with it? LOL that vid of him and Pouncey at the bar was probably were that fine money went.....

Evidently EVERYBODY ELSE did .... no complaints from them. And YES I would he was one of my team mates who proves day in and day out he has my back. And NO .... it's already been established fine money was to help pay for the Vegas trip ... which BTW it's also been establish Cogs help at least one guy not making a lot of money, pay his portion of the trip fees.

Everybody needs a slush fund :brewskis:

Again, I'm in the minority and consider holding O line team meetings in strip clubs to be inappropriate. If he wants to go there in his own time and make it rain, good luck to him - freedom for the individual. But in a leadership role on the team, he should set a good example. Some players may have cultural backgrounds or maybe religious beliefs or sexual inclinations where they are uncomfortable in those settings. If it's a team meeting it should be taken seriously and all O-linemen should attend. However, it's not too hard to imagine some players getting distracted at the meeting.
What if a young rookie who was brought up with strong christian beliefs was forced to join in the group activities by drinking and womanizing like his team leader? You may think that if his faith was strong he would not be corrupted but the truth is that most would not want to be perceived as less of a man by their peers and after a few drinks they could lose their inhibitions. I don't want to sound like the single wowser on finheaven, but I for one think that this behavior is wrong and reflects badly on our team. Again, I want to stress if he and some of his teammates want to do this as individuals, I have no problems. But if he makes it mandatory and this is sanctioned by the O-line coach, it's inappropriate, and you may be surprised that the bulk of the society would probably agree with me.

OK I was under the impression that a W-2 employee was not allowed to deducted for meal and entertainment expenses unless it was at least 2% of his ADJ Gross Income....

And No he should have been watching film....the last place I want Richie is in a strip club during football season....

I don't know the certainties of Richie's tax situation, but two thoughts on this:

1. I don't know his income or filing status.
2. I would wager it is a lot more than 2%.

Fair enough

I would take that bet, Richie makes 3-5 million a yr or at least two million so he would have to spend at least 40,000 in meal or entertainment expenses which would have to be ordinary and necessary for his employers business......I think that's a stretch, now if he was self employed then there wouldn't be a problem....

Lol. Dude. Bryant McKinnie probably spends $40,000.00 at strip clubs on one really good weekend.

So if you were a GM and had the chance to sign Cog's would you? and would you let him be on the leadership team?

Don't like it, say something. Stand for what you believe in. If he felt otherwise, and went along anyway and sanctioned/participated in the actions he disagreed with, he is no better than anyone else.

Perhaps he had an epiphany.
