Incognito visiting Bucs

Alright. So, excuses.

More like circumstances. In a vacuum Ray Rice for hitting his wife is a horrible person but take into account other factors like maybe her repeatedly hitting on him.
I once punched a mall security guy, in a vacuum I assaulted him and got charged with assault in reality he put his hands on me for no reason and at first his female co worker said assaulted him.
Luckily other witnesses came forward and told the truth so the charges were dropped.

Thug! Hahaha

Nope, he hasn't. But it says something that Martin might start at LG for the 49ers when Richie can't even get on a team.

Some people wanted to make Richie the victim and say that the things he did and said were common in every locker room in the league and the real problem was with us -- the fans who don't know how locker rooms are -- who were freaking about something we didn't understand.

Well, it turns out that other teams thought that he was the problem after all. A psycho who's not worth the truth. Meanwhile the wuss "cancer" who couldn't take the pressure is about to make one of the best teams in the NFL.

Not so fast. Schefter just reported that at least 5 teams are interested in Incog. Martin was essentially a mercy **** by a team who could afford to carry him, by his old college coach in his old college metro area. I wouldn't bet the farm that when the smoke cleared, Incog wouldn't be starting before Martin.

As far as who's the psycho... Martin is the one who put the gun to his own head, threatened suicide and severely abused drugs. The problem was that he couldn't take the kind of clubhouse hazing that most incoming fraternity freshmen would welcome in comparison to what they're put through.

And regarding culpability, Martin's handlers released one incendiary racist text and a sister-threatening one out of context not thinking that Richie would sink his own ship by releasing all the texts which show that Martin was as much the perp and instigator. Doesn't killing your whole ****ing family trump raping your sister? Total whitewash where even out of hundreds of qualified special investigators that could be named, the league knowing full well what they were doing, appointed one with about 6 demographic commonalities with the Martin family. And still in good conscience he couldn't indict the franchise so he settled for a few skapegoats while more or less exonerating one of the guilty parties, Martin. To me it's telling that their teammates took Incog's side and turned their back on the quitter who essentially picked a prank that he actually perpetrated two weeks before, to storm off theatrically as planned. And if you don't think the whole thing was orchestrated then I have some property in the Everglades I can sell you cheap.

But if we're talking about "bullying" I see that Ndomikong Suh just flagrantly rolled up his 6th or 7th intentionally violent attack on a helpless player, our very own Chad Henne. Why is there no outcry after the viciousness he's consistently exhibited using the field of play as an excuse for his douchebaggery? And while all Pavlov's dogs went full tilt drool on that isolated Incog racist text, why doesn't anyone have the balls in the media to at least explore what might well be sanctioned racism considering that while the 6 or 7 Suh victims are Caucasian, the league is 70% not?

Doubt anyone signs Cog until after the 1st game is completed. Don't want to be on the hook for the whole season salary even if it is the vet minimum. That gives Cog to much leverage to do what he wants. Someone might sign him for depth after the 1st week and pay him week by week. JMO

Yeah, I'm not going to sit here and re-argue Martin vs. Incognito.

The NFL franchises taken as a whole have made a pretty clear statement about how they viewed Bullygate. That's what I was saying. And it's not just a PR thing, because NFL franchises don't have a problem taking on PR problems if they'll help the team win. And it's not strictly an on the field thing, since even Jonathan Martin's parents don't think he's a better lineman than Incognito (who was overrated, though).

It's because he's a psycho in the locker room. Even in a league of psychos, he stands out. That's why they've collectively told him to **** off.

I wish someone would hurry up and sign this knucklehead so that I can stop seeing "FORMER DOLPHIN RICHIE INCOGNITO"

But in a way you DID argue it in castigating Incog as the lone psycho in the locker-room and surmising that most locker rooms don't operate in that fashion. I contended that when a player deconstructs after being demoted, is known for putting a gun to his own head threatening suicide and is by some reports so drug-addled that his perception doesn't reflect reality, it's THAT psycho who makes that locker-room a combustible one. The fact that all his teammates sides with Richie and not Jona should be sufficient info to understand the true lay of the land in this witch hunt. There was no unilateral bullying, so I resent that depiction and again point to someone like Suh who uses the field to viciously and unnecessarily attack opponents; ditto the racism as those texts in context bear out while who can say the same considering that all Suh's victims just happen to be Caucasian when only 4 out of 10 league players are. And you speculated that no one wants Incog yet Martin was perceived trade value to which I replied something to the effect that being this particular trade partner was already strong, the location overlapped his collegiate playing days and the coach was his old coach, it's unlikely it was a coincidence that it was the only team willing to trade a conditional 7th for a 2nd round pick... and that Incog has up to 5 interviews, is now still in the mix in TB despite the Mankins trade according to Lovey and is more likely to be a starter when the smoke clears.

Long way of saying that while Incog deserves to be vilified, so does Martin and when I see Martin being excused for his contributions to this less severe than your typical frathouse pledge hazing episode or depicted as the victim, I see red and like that Abbott and Costello routine: "Niagara Falls - Slowly I turned" my reflex to speak up in no uncertain terms, calling a spade a spade tends to reflect that reaction. Certainly everyone is entitled to think what they want, but personally no matter what's said of Incog, I refuse to sit idly by watching Martin get a free ride.
