that's a strong word for a guy who dumped the ball off the whole game and over threw several guys whenever he truly tried anything vertical.....

I'm not bashing Pennington, but i dont think today was anything more than an average game from him.

I guess, but that's said and done. This is now, and right now we need a guy who can be an asset to us on 3rd and long because for whatever reason this team refused to run the ball today. That's not Pennington. Hopefully they learn next week to MAKE 3RD DOWN MORE MANAGEABLE.

Pennington gave Miami something Miami hasnt had in years. A decent QB. I could relax for once when he went back to pass evey ball. There wasnt the stress of me saying O man we are throwing it I dont know where this is going.

Yes I'm upset we lost but unlike others I'll be the first to say thanks for being classy.

Indeed it was a great game. We had a chance to win but penny threw a horrible INT to end it, even worse was Ginn's Pass Interference. If you're going to get called for PI, at least make sure they dont get the INT. It's kind of like basketball, if you're gonna foul somebody trying to score, at least make sure they don't make it and give them a chance for the 3 point play.

It was a very exciting ending but I wouldn't really use the word "great" to describe the game. I am not going to bring up the officiating.....I'll just say it's time to focus on the Cardinals for week two.

After watching both QB's on the field there is no question in my mind that the Jets made the right move. Watching Farve on the field reminds me of the Marino days. Farve is incredible. With Brady done for the year I think the Jets have a legit chance to take the division.. Buffalo looks tough too..

Another Jets fan here respectfully agreeing. That game was tougher than I expected, and I think that conditioning started to show in the 4th quarter. The thing I took away was that Langford and Merling both look like the real deals and you should expect to have a really tough defense soon with those two in there.

Pennington did exactly what he normally did for us in the 4th quarter. Managed a good drive. Then another until the pick. He's limited in that he doesn't win with 20+ yard passes, but if you have time on the clock, he gives you a chance to win. After a few years of it, though, you'll understand why Jets fans are gaga over having Favre at the helm.

I wasn't expecting much from the Fins this year, but I definitely saw a few things today to make me reconsider. Good luck in 14 of the next 15 weeks!

I understand your feelings and I'm not trying to rain on your parade, but I don't think Favre is going to get this lucky against teams with actual talent in their secondary. Despite the illusions that many people hold, our secondary is absolutely awful and can be beaten deep at will. They can't play the ball and the only way they ever get by is to maul recievers and hope that they don't get a PI.

Pennington almost brought us a win today but for most of the game I was simply reminded of how little talent we actual have.

Yea, I didn't see the game but I saw that play and Ginn looked like a high school player --- not encouraging considering his history so far...
