I think we are indecisive in general which hurts.....Harrington still with us...why? Mare needs to restructure big time or say goodbye.....It is a general lack of decisive movement that concerns me with this FO....begs a certain lack of clear lines of communication already

we still have time to release harrington and i would be surprised if we didn't. and mare is the least of worries with this team.

This board is almost unbearable to visit anymore. It's been one day, we(like a lot of other teams) haven't signed anyone yet, so we're indecisive, clueless, blah blah. Signing an expensive free agent on day 1 doesn't guarantee a Super Bowl, nor does not signing one guarantee failure. Let's have some patience, and review the entire off-season in retrospect following the draft, not on March 3.

Premature analysis is the word. Mueller stated before free agency began that personally he didn't think this was a strong FA class. He has a cap structure in his head and I think he's trying to adhere to it. Look at the players who have signed so far. Neither of them is worth anywhere near the money they received, especially Clement. That throws your whole team cap structure off balance and generates animosity from other players on the team who are unhappy with their deals.

Agreed. Last time I checked it was only March 3. We still have the draft and then all of the final cuts before the season begins. You sign a few select FA's, have a solid draft then you plug a few holes with some of those players that are cut when rosters are trimmed before the regular season.
The draft is the key. Most of the high priced FA's, for one reason or another never seem to play as well for their new teams as they did before they hit the open market.
When the Pats signed Colvin several yrs back all they got was an oft injured LB who never has come close to the sacking machine he was in Chicago.

Absolutely right...Most of the stuiff on this board is negative. If you dont like how the team is being ran, then find another team to root for instead of bashing the very team, you supposedly, stand behind. To be a fan is to support your team, so where is all the support?!:shakeno: :shakeno:

Bro a couple of things to your positive post. They are proabably shopping Joey for a draft pick since the best way to build a team is through the draft, and Mare may or may not be released after June 1st for an easier cap hit, and if we find a replacement.

harrington's roster bonus doesn't kick in for a week so they are shopping him for a draft pick and then will release him before they pay it. how is that indecisive? mare? yeah lets cut him then with his cap hit for his signing bonus miami can save the 500k which they can spend to sign a new kicker.

I think you're extremely wrong.

Mueller stated that they would be "aggresively patient" and if our approach to FA isn't aggresive patience, I don't know what is.

And what difference does it make if they cut Harrington today or two seconds away from his roster bonus?

The above is not indecision at all. On the contrary, they've made their decision and are doing one hell of a job of sticking to it.

No, impatient is the word. To describe the many posters here.

the problem is its dead time for the nfl. As fans we gotta talk about something so untill randy beats his old lady or ricky flunks another drug test we gotta argue about how the front office is doing

I agree! :rolleyes2 I think we should fill holes and upgrade from what we had and thats a step n the right direction! Note , dont have to big name guys, just guys who are worth the money and actually do something for this team!
