Osi Umenyiora says he spoke to Michael Strahan last week and got the feeling that Strahan is going to retire.

"I talked to him after the season and I thought he was going to retire," Osi said. "I talked to him a month ago and I thought he was coming back. Then I talked to him maybe a week ago and I thought he was going to retire. It just changes day to day with Michael." The Giants expect a decision by camp.

I think if the offer the 31 you have to take it, but an extra pick would be needed. Things are gonna be real interesting tommorrow, I wonder if JT will be traded after all.

funny you brought this up.......i was thinking that it was possible that the giants could be the team taylor gets traded to if, if it indeed happens.....strahan is an uncertainty, and there has been talk that the giants have been wanting to trade out of the first round...per nj papers

The SB was almost 3 months ago. I think Strahan did a disservice to the Giants by not committing to them for 2008, or retiring by now. He knew the draft was coming up, and the team needed to make a contingency plan if he wasn't going to be around.

Yeah, I'd take the #31 for JT without thinking twice. With back to back picks, we could either use both or trade one of them back down for a #2 and an extra pick next year, so we continue to have some draft flexibility next year, as well.

I doubt he goes to the Giants.

Why would the Giants want to go through the same thing next year????

There is another scenario Jt could be traded triaght up for Shockey. You have to remember that talent at TE in this draft is not that good, but we could see Shockey for Taylor straight up.

The last year signed Tuck a huge contract expecting strahnan to retire and he playerd part time.

strahan is already thier and is like 26 yr old signed longtime.

Strahan should retire. The guy has nothing left to prove. He's the Giants all-time sack leader, a sure fire first ballot Hall of Famer. He has the single season sack record, and now he has his career defining Super Bowl ring. What is he even hanging around for? Heck he almost retired last year, i'd be shocked if he was back again.

If JT wants to be a movie star or tv guy then New York makes a lot of sense. Maybe JT for the Giant's 31st pick? Probably won't happen, but I would do it.
