Infield dirt?

Until the Marlins get a new stadium, or move to another city..... That crap is still going to be there. The Marlins could play at a local sandlot, and still get the same amount of attendence.

Minor Leagues

Can't the Marlins play up in Jupiter with the other minor league baseball teams? Although Feely (I think) can make his kicks from the infield!!

Unfortunately the Marlins lease at Dolphin Stadium doesn't expire until after the 2010 baseball season. Look for them to try to extend after that. :(

this is a great topic that comes up every year and nothing is ever done for it. new stadium for the MArlins??? they cant draw enoug of a crowd or fan base to do so, i highly doubt that will occurr. i wish though

It will also be fun to see the turf extra torn up now that the Canes will use the field this year as well, hard to believe in this day that it is the case for 3 teams to use one facility like this...

As much as I hate to say it....but the Phins attendence isn't the best either.

As someone who doesnt follow baseball, I can honestly say the Marlins are the team I hate most simply because of the infield dirt.

I don't think Wayne wants them to stay past 2010. I can't see them playing at Dolphin Stadium come 2011.

I swear I heard someone here a few months ago say that since the Canes are playing in our stadium now, it's their job to make sure the infield dirt is gone for home games.

I just had a brilliant idea....why don't they just temporarily put artificial turf over the area that is going to be the Marlin's infield....I am sure it won't affect the Marlin's fielding.

The Oakland Raiders and Oakland A's also share the McAfee Coliseum...just a little FYI.

Don't the Miami Hurricanes have a pretty decent baseball team? Why don't they just play the Marlins games there at the end of their season? The Canes are getting to use Dolphin Stadium for football, so I don't see why the Canes can't help the Phins out as well. I am sure the field would accomodate the 3,000 fans who show up for Marlin's games.

just wait after tuna is done with the phins the attendence for the dolphins is going to go through the roof

but 3 teams sharing the same field? that field is going to take a serious beating
forget the marlins getting a new stadium give it to the dolphins
