Hey guys I know this is old news, but does anyone know the extent of Camarillos injury, and if he will be at trtaining camp? Any info will be awesome, as I have not had much time to look into this. Thanks guys.

As far as I know, he's doing just fine without any pain, hopefully it'll continue to be on a great track for him

well i was at the ravens game... saw him walk to his car and drive away from the stadium

he's not on crutches and he wasn't limping so i was happy to see that...but running and making crisp routes is another thing ...

The Palm Beach Post said that he just recently traded in his crutches for a knee brace. Recovery from an ACL can be anywhere from 6 months to a year. As a guy who needs to cut to be able to do his job, he'll probably be at least in the 8 to 9 month range. So, he could be back shortly after camp starts. But, there's also the possibility that he needs to start the season on the PUP list. It's also worth mentioning that any loss of speed, quickness, or cutting ability could be devastating to Camarillo, who does not have the elite athletic skills of many WR.

Btw just noticed your from Pensacola, same here. I've seen a few from Pcola on here now, pretty cool!

I hope this injury wont result in him getting cut... If he is not able to perform up to par, I don't doubt he would be cut.

I don't know .. he's a pretty tough dude, I really think he'll pull off the great recovery like Ronnie did. And like Ronnie has with Ricky, Camarillo has someone to step up in his place when needed (Bess)

Actually, I hope that it doesn't affect him for the very reasons you mentioned. Camarillo didn't rely on speed...he isn't very fast...he relies on good route running and smart football...the injury should not affect this. He was never really a long threat either...

ACLs are pretty tricky, some people come back 100% in six months, others are never the same. When I tore mine wrestling in high school, it took me 4 months to get off the crutches and another six to get up to 100%, but I came back just in time for the next season and my knee was stronger than it ever was. Conversely, a good friend of mine and bitter rival from another school in the same weight class tore his ACL(no where near as bad as I tore mine), and he still feels pain durring a pick up football game.

ACL injuries affect cutting abilty first and foremost, straight-line speed less so. To run good crisp routes, cutting on a dime is a must ( in contrast to a ted ginn, who can sometimes get away with raw burners just running fly patterns all day ). Not being a pessimist, just saying the OP had legitimate cause for concern.

Fantastic hands also. However Cam was also very good after the catch, being able to make players miss tackles using cuts, jukes and his agility. If the knee is'nt 100% then it will certainly affect his ability after the catch
