Info on Travis Daniels

He burned his redshirt year by playing at the very end of the season. We had a few injuries and Saban asked if he would be OK burning his redshirt year that late. Daniels said anything to help the team. Daniels then broke up a pass in the endzone that gave us the SEC Championship. Two years ago he said something that also helped make him a fan favorite-- "I play for the name on the side of my helmet, not the name on the back of my jersey." He is a physical corner that was always playing man to man on an island. He played better than Corey Webster this year although it is hard to judge as Webster always had nagging injuries. Only bad game was against Georgia and David Greene threw some perfect passes against him. Obviously he knows Saban's system and Saban knows all about him. Good pickup.
