They actually break down some plays with pics in this one, did some homework instead of "Ajayi and Gase have Tannehill playing well" national spiel....

a blurb from the article...
n the Dolphins' six-game winning steak, Tannehill has nine touchdown passes and one interception. He had one of the best games of his career last week against the 49ers, throwing for 285 yards and three touchdown passes. He completed 20 of his 30 passes and looked in control for much of the game. I know the 49ers aren't good on defense, but this performance was much more than just good numbers against a bad team.
This also came on the heels of his two fourth-quarter touchdown drives to beat the Los Angeles Rams the week before. A week before that, he made some of the best throws of his career against the San Diego Chargers.

and another one I kinda like....
They essentially dared Tannehill to beat them. He did.

more for those that don't have time to click the link....
He looks confident and he has the feel of a guy who knows what he's doing. In the past, Tannehill has looked the part in stretches. But he has never been a guy who had the look of a franchise passer, only one keeping the seat warm with some nice numbers at times, some of them empty. But let's not forget he is playing in his third system in four-plus seasons. That's a lot of mental gymnastics for a guy who played wide receiver at Texas A&M until his senior season. That can slow growth.
In this Gase system, he looks far more comfortable than he did in any of the others. The deep ball, which was a weakness, has improved and his yards-per-attempt number is up to 7.82, by far the best of his career. That's almost a yard better than his first three seasons and significantly better than 2015.
In the process, his completion percentage is up as well. He is hitting on 66.0 percent of his passes, which is much better than the 61.9 pecent he had in 2015.

Another thing that has impressed in this stretch for Tannehill is his patience. The game has slowed down for him. He isn't as frantic. When something isn't there, he will go elsewhere rather than staying on his read or forcing it.

and while we're at it, this little doozy from Bleacher Report
Much of the NFL needs to offer a big, fat apology to Ryan Tannehill

he looks confident cause they are letting him drive

had we been competent prior these things would have already shown

yes that 14 yard completion to stills was a fantastic flip from one read to the next vs the 9ers...

more comfortable in the system with a play caller that understands what defenses are doing and how to attack them

as for holding guys with his eyes he's been doing that for years

keep those active feet and he can be a top 5 qb in the nfl...he's already top 12

I really can't stand reading how different he looks...that's bogus...they sped up his feet that's the difference....that and he's taking to coaching to use his legs more...finally he's not being hit every time his back foot hits

as he gets more comfortable in the system watch out...that's when you will see the full repertoire of leveraged throws

I love the fact that they put out that article on the same day where's there is another one that lists Miami as a possible landing spot for Cutler next year!

There's 'fashionably late' and then there's 'missed the train'. It's enjoyable watching the media wave from the station.

I have been saying this for the past couple of weeks. Seems like a lot of talking heads are trying to pretend to be correct on their assessment of Tannehill.

Hey we might need a new backup....

Gase has helped, no doubt....but even with the injuries to the OL, the OL play has been better than it has for Tanne's career. He is still facing pressure and the OL is still ranked towards the bottom of the league in pass protection, but IMO he is not receiving pressure from multiple angles which he has in the past with no where to step up to. The combination of not receiving pressure from 2-3 people at the same time and Gase speeding up his drop back is the biggest difference. I think he has always played pretty well when given at least some time which is evident in his I believe 10-2 record with James, Pouncey, and Albert in the lineup.
